Getting around Machans Beach is relatively easy, despite being a small suburb. Here are some of the transportation options available to visitors:

Car Rental - Renting a car is a popular way to get around Cairns and its surrounding areas, including Machans Beach. Please let us know if you would like help with car hire.

Taxi - Taxis are readily available in Cairns and can take visitors to Machans Beach. Visitors can also hail taxis from Machans Beach to take them to other destinations. The taxi fare from Cairns city center to Machans Beach is typically around AUD 30-40.

Public Transport - The local bus service, Sunbus, operates in Cairns and surrounding areas. The bus stop is located on Machans Beach Road, and visitors can take a bus from Machans Beach to Cairns City or to other suburbs. The bus fare is around AUD 4.50 one way.

Walking - Machans Beach is a small suburb, and visitors can explore it on foot. Walking along the beach is a popular activity, and visitors can also stroll through the quiet streets to take in the local sights and sounds.
