Perfect for a family ski trip

Great location - just minutes from Timberline ski resort. Home was very open, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed! Would love to go back!

Great location!

A very new and comfortable house. It was quiet and well laid out for our family and friends. Very close to all the winter sports we wanted to enjoy…just had rain instead of snow!

We loved our stay at Mountain Life Memories! Not only was the house super nice, it was also clean, comfy, and had all that we need for a short get-a-way with family. The furniture was comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, master bathroom and shower were awesome! We had a fire in the fire pit, hiked, and played pickleball. Check-in and out were quick and easy. I would love to stay again!

Annual Harley Vaca

The property was beautiful and clean!! We are a group of 6 retired friends that go on an annual trip on our Harleys. We found the area to be exceptional!! WiFi worked well at the house, very well stocked with necessities, great surroundings and views. We had an issue with the fireplace giving off alot of heat during 90 degree days making it hard to cool the front area of the house. We reported it and it was fixed the same day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!!

Beautiful setting

We four mature ladies enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. We do have a couple of suggestions for the bathrooms. At our age we have concerns about falling. Both the shower and the bath with tub were quite slippery. Having a bar and/or a mat would have made us feel more comfortable. Also, bathroom rugs with backing would help.

Weekend in Canaan WV

Our stay was very nice and we enjoyed the cabin. It is very modern and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the location is very convenient. The cabin was clean, but appeared that it had not been rented in awhile as there were several dead bugs on the fireplace mantel and by the porch doors. Bring toilet paper and paper towels as there were no extra provided. The fireplace is very nice and if the weather had been nicer, we would have used the outdoor fire pit. I would stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a wonderful place to stay. Nice location for hikes down in the valley. Very close to the Canaan Valley Resort. The place is new and in great condition. Amazing views out the windows. Nice bathrooms. Good beds. Only complaint is the lighting in the main room wasn't ideal--there was no light over the dining room table so we often felt like we were eating in the dark. Its a new place so I'm sure they will take care of that.

This home was in immaculate condition and provided everything you'll ever need in a luxury rental. We highly recommend this rental if you need to just get away from everything and stay in total peace. The views are breathtaking and enjoyable to watch while sitting in the dining area eating a meal or simply lounging on the deck and inhaling the fresh mountain air. Thank you so much Donna for your hospitality during arrival and offering your personal favorites around the Canaan area for us to enjoy!

Nice House but Missing Some Information

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outside of the house is okay, especially in the winter, but the inside really shines. Its modern and freshly appointed. One of the first things you'll notice approaching the house is that as you drive up the steep hill there's a sign that says to watch for ice. We drive a Chevy Traverse and make multiple trips to West VA to go skiing per year and had never gotten stuck until this trip. We couldn't get up the hill the second day and had to park at the bottom and walk up. There should be a notice that you may need 4x4 to access house. Also, there's a ton of flies in the house. Didn't expect a bunch of dead flies in the windowsills in the middle of winter. The grill's propane tank was also empty. Outside of those items, the inside is very nice and we enjoyed our time there.
