Hi Jacquelyn, we want every stay to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, so we’re disappointed to hear that this visit didn’t meet your expectations. After following up with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following: - Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. While we strive to ensure everything in our home is in excellent working order, mechanical issues can occasionally arise. - The fireplace was experiencing issues prior to your arrival, which we communicated at the time, and we regret that the hot tub wasn’t functioning as expected. We had it inspected by a professional after your stay, and it was found to be in working order. We take all guest concerns seriously, and we provided a partial refund in recognition of the inconvenience caused by these unexpected issues. - It’s important to clarify that we do not issue refunds based on unused space in the home, as our pricing reflects the property as a whole. - We regret any miscommunication or misunderstanding during your stay and hope this response helps to clarify our efforts to address your concerns. We value all feedback and continually strive to improve the experience for future guests. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

Thanks Andrew for the amazing review! Not a lot of people come to Ithaca in January and I’m glad you appreciated it :) The hot tub is nice in the cold. And I love that you noticed the throw pillows haha. Please let us know if you ever need to stay in Ithaca again!

We're so glad the property fit your family vacation perfectly and that you enjoyed the location so close to Ithaca. It's wonderful to hear the space felt clean, well appointed, and had everything you needed. Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review, and for the recommendation.

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, the family-friendly amenities, and the beautiful views from the patio. We appreciate you bringing your comments about cleanliness to our attention. As the home is located in a secluded wooded setting on a dirt road, occasional insects and outdoor debris can be more common, but we work to thoroughly clean the home between every stay and will continue reviewing our cleaning procedures to help provide the best possible experience for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Thanks Andrew for your kind words! It's so great to hear that you and your family are making memories in our home. I'm so glad it can bring enjoyment to other families while we're not there. You're always welcome back!

Thanks for staying w us Pat! You are welcome any time!
