The cabin is modeled after traditional European lodges and sits atop a hill on the smooth-graveled Comfort Road. Remote enough to be a true retreat, it is still just 20 minutes away from Downtown Ithaca Commons and shopping. Ithaca College is a short 10-12 minute drive and Cornell is within easy driving distance as well. Ithaca airport is 30 minutes away. Natural attractions are Jennings Pond, Buttermilk Falls, and Robert H Treman State Park with its amazing natural swimming hole and falls. The stretch of Comfort road in front of the chalet is part of the Finger Lakes trail system and leads to a trail head that goes into Danby State Forest.

Note: The cabin is surrounded by nature and as a result "nature" occasionally get inside. This is part of country living. We perform regular maintenance and cleaning to minimize the occurrence.
