Visit Sea Ranch and the scenic Northern California Coast with a stay at this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom vacation home! You'll have a private hot tub that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and room for up to eight guests.

This prime location is on the westside of Highway 1. Shell Beach is just a short walk away. Need supplies? Gualala is about five miles north for groceries and a selection of restaurants.

This serene retreat offers tall ceilings and clean modern lines, with a mix of hardwood floors and carpeting. Fix a meal in the full kitchen, then relax in the living room with cable TV. You'll also have WiFi, but please be aware that Internet and cell service can be spotty here. Of course, just out the windows is a gorgeous ocean view!

Please note that entry access for the 3rd bedroom is through the garage only. There's a washer/dryer so that you can keep up on laundry.

Whether you spend days exploring the Bluff Trail, walking to Shell Beach, or playing golf at the Sea Ranch Golf Links, this peaceful getaway will make you feel right at home! Book today!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Elegant well sited house

From the broad expanse of windows and sliding doors you look out at a meadow and the ocean, with almost no other houses in sight. Trails near the house take you down to Shell Beach..one of the nicest at Sea Ranch. We saw whales and a bobcat ! Kitchen was well equipped, nice wood fire. Both bedrooms are large and comfortable, but the master BR is dark and gloomy. This could be remedied if owner let you raise the blinds over full length windows and sliders..BUT blinds are unworkable and owners have put a sign on the curtains in the adjacent "solarium" "do NOT open curtains !" Don't know why! It would make a world of difference. If you are thinking of renting this home, I suggest you ask if that problem has been remedied. The solarium is a great feature if you have children with you. Books, games. We highly recommend this house with the reservations as mentioned above.

Christmas vacation

We needed a place to stay to go away from home after the loss of a close family member. The house was near the path that leads straight to the water a couple of minutes away. The home was comfortable, well- stocked and well-kept. The favorite room for our toddler was the solarium. There was a special space just for playtime. There is a room separate from the rest of the home above the garage that might work well for older children. The check-in was difficult because no one was working in the office that day & the instructions were not clear, even for the person who took our call on Christmas day. Fortunately, we found the information packet and we're on our way to the home for a wonderful Christmas away from home.

This Place is Great!

This is the third time we have stayed here in five years and this house is great. Centrally located (near the trails!), great layout and great for our family. The local Vacasa office is FANTASTIC and super helpful.

We love this home

This was possibly our 8th Thanksgiving at Serenity. It continues to be a place of beauty and relaxation. A true HOME, well stocked beyond the basics...comfy beds...nice towels...ample cutlery and dishes. In a word: perfect.

Fantastic and will stay here again with a teeny, tiny caveat

Everythijg was wonderful, except for the instructions for finding the property and for finding the rental office in Gualala for the info packet. In the Sea Ranch and surrounding area there is no ell service which means no GPS. So we just had to drive around and around and around looking for the house. And the rental office where we got the packet was extremely hard tio find even after we foud the area it was locatred in with the address. None of the businesses in there are marked with lot numbers and the office was hidden. These are the only two things I would change. Oh, and this morning "you" emailed how I liked my saty at 6:30 in the morning and woke me up. Not very nice. Other than that it was wonderful.

LOVED IT! With a tiny caveat

Everyting was perfect except that the directions to the house and to the rental agency to pick up the packet were very vague and without GPS (no internet service on the road in that area) it was time consuming and irritating. Even though we had the address of the rental office if was hidden away in a complex that took a long time to find. Simple additions to the GETTING THERE part of email instructions would solve this.

Just what we needed...

Serenity is a great vacation house, with a very well equipped kitchen, roomy bedrooms, a nice hot tub and deck, and a great location near Shell Beach and the coastal trail. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful home with a good location for our wishes.

I enjoyed the spaces....two living rooms which allows two groups of people to enjoy different activities simultaneously. The home was equipped with spices beyond necessary....a surprise and not one I imagined. The main living room was beautiful and inspired a calm....amazing lighting throughout the home. Great place for adults.

A slightly odd layout, but a wonderful spacious house

I really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. The bedroom setup is a bit confusing, but worked great for us. There's one spacious queen bedroom, with a shared bathroom right outside it, one king bedroom with a large private bathroom attached to it, a "solarium" (second living room that used to be an deck, I think, and got walled off) with a futon / sofa bed in it, and a tiny bedroom with a double bed up some stairs from the garage. To use the bathroom from that room, you go down the stairs into the garage, then enter the house through the back of the garage, and the bathroom is next to the kitchen. The solarium actually has sliding glass doors separating it from the master bedroom, but they're covered with thick blackout curtains on both sides, and surprisingly well sound isolated; it seems odd, but it works great. The kitchen is one of the best ones I've used at Sea Ranch, in many years -- well equipped, spacious pantry, good pots and pans, etc. The living room has a nice little pot belly stove as a fireplace that works great. The hot tub is large, comfortable, and in a great location off the living room. Dining table expands to seat six comfortably. Location is near perfect -- just a couple of minute walk from the beach.

We LOVE this house

We have rented Serenity at least 7 times in a row for Thanksgiving, and it's the BEST house. It feels like a HOME, not a vacation rental. This house is loved by its owners, and it shows everywhere, from beautiful decor to an amazingly well-stocked kitchen. We just adore staying at Serenity!

Our stay at Serenity was very cozy! Great location, well appointed home!

Lovely, warm home with easily enough room for 8. Great views with easy walk to bluffs, trails and beaches. Could have used few more towels and some extra sheets. However, that said, the house has a well stocked kitchen with oils, spices, teas and even syrup and other condiments to make meal prep very easy. Plenty of space for two family’s of 4 to spread out. Beds were very comfortable and home felt very clean. Daily views consist of neighborhood deer and stunning waves. Nice to have access to pools however at no fault to Serenity’s owners of course, it should be noted that after September there is only one pool available at the Ohlone center but was a bit cold for kids . The lovely hot tub at Serenity made up for this small glitch in plans. Great time was had by all. We will be back! Thank you for allowing us into your home!

Great Stay!

I read other reviews before even booking this place. I seen it had some negative reviews and I have got to say don't listen to the bad reviews! It was fully stocked and had everything we needed plus more! No annoying neighbors & my son who is 4 years old had so much fun. Such a beautiful house & area! My family & I couldn't have had a better time! I fully recommend this house.

Serenity

It was a very relaxing time with enuf room the family. Loved the close beach access & the sunsets were fantastic. It was a lovely get away but be warned, no dish towels or napkins, Take those with you. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there is an obnoxious neighbor who watches every move you make & calls security on you for even little infractions. He ruined it for us. Kids were afraid to play outside out back!

Barbecue is very old and rusting out. I had to purchase towels in town so we could all have a towel for our showers. The upstairs bedroom off of the garage is not tall enough for an adult to stand up in. That cannot be code acceptable. I was disappointed in the Home overall for the price per night it was quite a disappointment.

Serenity Now!

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The meadow had so much life with deer and fawns running around, birds swooping and frogs jumping. Shell beach is so nice and so close, we loved it.
