This wonderful family retreat is in an ideal Sea Ranch meadow location. The home is harmonious with nature and affords many pet-friendly and kid-friendly features. There are two bedrooms downstairs.

Also downstairs is a spacious kitchen, dining, and living room space with stone fireplace, window seats, and a kid and pet-friendly composite floor. Upstairs is a bunkroom that is just perfect for kids of all ages. The maximum occupancy is eight and two dogs can join you!

This home has a great blue water ocean view and decks facing the ocean, just begging for someone to sit and quietly contemplate. The Bluff Trail, Walk-On Beach, Tide Pool Beach, Shell Beach, and the marine preserve are just a short walk away.

So whether you're coming to The Sea Ranch to read your favorite book while sitting in the window seat, soak in the hot tub, or walk the Bluff Trail, make Samson your Sea Ranch home away from home.

Things to Know:
The fireplace is present for ambiance and is not a heat source.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ā€˜Yesā€™ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location, great views. Very easy to walk to the beach and bluff trail. Waves were huge so we could hear them crashing from the deck. Interior of the home tired. All furnishings are cheap and worn out. Couch in the living room is terribly uncomfortable. Bed frames squeak when just rolling over.

Perfect getaway for easy living and access to trails

This home is comfortable and well-situated within Sea Ranch. Both main floor bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and the kitchen is large and well-organized. Great views throughout!

Our family of 4 loves this property and its open layout, location, hot tub, 3 bedrooms, and proximity to the beach and playground. And ample window seats for gazing at the beauty of Sea Ranch.

Great Location, Property could use Updating

Overall, we had a very fun stay. The house is in a great location: close to coast trails and tide pools, beautiful view, close to Gualala. The house itself is functional but could use some updating: one of the beds had broken slats, the dishwasher didn't work (the detergent hatch didn't open, so we ran it with it open, a wheel kept falling off the lower rack), the kitchen counters are dented and warped (water damage), the lighting is dim (especially the kitchen), a dining room window is inoperable, the couch is shallow and uncomfortable, some of the dining chairs are wobbly. The hot tub was nice. The price is affordable.

Relaxing getaway

It was just as we had hoped and imagined. The location was amazing, and the hot tub was so private. We couldnā€™t figure out the fireplaces, but thankfully it wasnā€™t very cold while we were there. Iā€™d suggest there be more clear and accurate directions on how to use them. Weā€™d stay again for sure

Pros- beautiful location, great views out the window and short walks to the beach and trails. Quiet. Short drive to Gualala for food and river play. Cons- electronic door lock was dead when we arrived and could not lock door, nor would the spare key in the lockbox work for the door either. Had to wait until property manager came to fix it so we could leave house with valuables secured. There were pans in the kitchen that were obviously put away dirty without any attempt to wash them (oil and food debris left), dog hair on furniture and floor and random food(?) stains on couches. One cupboard had an excessive amount of crumbs and debris in it to make it unusable to store food items. One of the bed frames in downstairs bedroom was broken and could not support a 70lb child. These cons were minor taken individually but all together were disappointing for the amount of money paid for the rental. Thankfully the location was gorgeous and overall we had an excellent time although we will think twice about this specific property in the future.

Location is everything

We love the location of this rental and thatā€™s why we booked it again. Itā€™s a comfy house, and short walk to the bluff trail and trails onto the ridge. We enjoy the unobstructed view out over Walk On Beach, in fact our last evening we watched whale spouts for about an hour, sitting out on the deck in the sunshine. There are a few things that need TLC here, but nothing that detracted significantly from our stay. We so appreciate vacation homes that allow our K9 kids!

Nice Location

We had a positive response upon first entering the house--it looked clean and of course, we like the vaulted ceilings. The furniture and finishes are basic and practical. There should be better instructions for the fireplaces (we had to find the manual to get the pilot light on) and TV controls --we think one of the controls may need batteries as the buttons did not work well. Walking distance to shoreline and one can walk along the bluffs for a long ways. Good wave action against the rocks. There are some house maintenance issues, but they did not detract. Ants appeared in the Master Bath so we used the guest bath. Kitchen is a good size. Perhaps some of the kitchen items should be tossed, e.g. melting black plastic spatula, casserole dish that has handles on one side broken off. Can see some waves from the house.

Nice location but house needs some love

This is a pretty place with a lovely open floor plan and lovely views of the meadows with the sea beyond. Also, it has a very comfortable master suite. But the house is in need of upkeep. There a are broken screens, a poorly functioning dishwasher, and malfunctioning blinds and some windows that donā€™t open. And it was lacking in basic essentialsā€” such as spoons, utensils, glasses and cups, a decent sized skillet and dish towels, simple inexpensive items that people who want to cook for themselves (rather important in a fairly remote location) expect to find. This is a place you want to like and perhaps we would have if the price were cheaper and we knew in advance that we needed to bring our own supplies.

Old in need of much work

The home layout was nice, but is in serious need of work. It appears some work over time was done, but it was very poorly done in the master bath. Wood trim in a wet area is a sin, and molds. Kitchen cabinets are far past their life expectancy. Window crank are d and don't work well. Kitchen plates silverware and other uticles were scant. We made work. But for the rental cost we expected better

I've been renting at Sea Ranch since 1995, fyi. The living spaces of the home were cleaned and the beds were comfortable. Some TLC and attention to some basic deferred maintenance would easily upgrade the quality of this home. - Screen doors - kitchen cabinet repairs - dishwasher ( needs wheels on the lower rack and the rubber seal needs repair - the one screen door is thick with dirt/ mold around the door and the screen is torn. - window hardware on multiple windows (broken) - caution tape around the hot tub enclosure was concerning and unsightly. - the temperature setting for the hot tub did not adjust, the light and jets did not function. - dish washing soap and a sponge/ scrubber are usual supplies provided. There were none. A renter should not have to spend vacation time calling the management/host with a list of repairs ( unless there is a true emergency).

Very disappointing

I have stayed in numerous vacation rentals at Sea Ranch and this was by far the worst! I had a bad feeling as got to the front door and there bits and pieces of trash on the outside and the building looked unkept. When i walked inside it smelt of dirty socks and the large windows were filthy both inside and out obviously not washed for months. There were water stains on the wood paneling, the main bathroom had black mold on the glass panel enclosing the shower. What window screens there were were torn and ripped. The living room slider did not even have a screen to keep flys out. I could go on. It was clearly bot taken care of nor worth the price. I left early due to a power outage. I did speak to Vacasa and the person i spoke to said he could come out and hose off the windows. But seemed silly at that point as the entire place needed a major cleaning. Had issues with wifi password. Hottub finally heated up. I paid over $400 in ā€œfeeā€™sā€ that should be refunded due to the non disclosure of the uncared and dirty home.
