Enhance your Sanibel Island escape in this thoughtfully designed two-bedroom, one-bathroom townhouse at Signal Inn. Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, this inviting vacation home offers partial views of the Gulf and overlooks the beautifully landscaped BBQ and gazebo area, creating a relaxed setting just moments from the island's natural beauty.

Filled with natural light and styled in a soothing coastal palette, the townhouse features an open living and dining area designed for comfort and ease. Elevated above the tropical landscape and accessed by a flight of stairs, the home enjoys a bright, airy feel throughout. The living space flows seamlessly into a fully screened lanai, where swaying palms, lush tropical foliage, and glimpses of the Gulf create the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

The primary bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed, while the second bedroom includes two twin beds, making the home well suited for families or small groups. The bathroom offers a spacious vanity and a walk-in shower for added convenience.

Located on the east end of Sanibel Island, Signal Inn is a quiet, pet-friendly beachfront community known for its laid-back charm and natural surroundings. Just a short stroll along the private boardwalk leads to Sanibel's world-famous shell-strewn beaches. Guests enjoy access to a heated pool, hot tub, BBQ grills, and on-site laundry facilities, all set within lush tropical landscaping. The property's location also provides easy access to the Sanibel Lighthouse, scenic bike paths, and the shops and restaurants along nearby Periwinkle Way.

House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties.

Furry friends welcome! Up to 2 pets allowed. A non-refundable pet fee applies and must be paid directly to the management company.

All units have beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. The TV's have Roku, no cable at this time.

Fantastic pet friendly, beach front location. You could easily walk to the beautiful beaches along a boardwalk and trail. It will be even easier when the additional paths are repaired. We had a wonderful time shelling. The three bedroom and 2 bath unit was very spacious, and the wrap around lanai with ocean view was even better. Everything was very clean, and well stocked with towels, kitchen items, and nice bedding. The pool area was clean as well. An overall peaceful and beachy vibe. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Annual August at Signal Inn

I have actually been coming to Signal Inn when I was a teenager with my family. Now I am a grandmother and love it just as much as great place to relax and extremely clean and peaceful. And being able to bring our fur babies is a key. I hate to leave them. Pam has always been an excellent source and very welcoming. We have been coming every August for the last several years for our anniversary. And try to visit a couple times a year.

Sanibel is still beautiful and still recovering

Signal Inn is in a nice location, quick path to the beach. Really enjoyed the small size of the property and not being in a high rise, it felt more relaxed. The price was very high compared to the value of the unit. With taxes and fees I paid 546/night, yet it was very clear that management didn't want to provide soap, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. We received one two-inch bar of soap in the bathroom, with tiny bottle of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Enough for one night, definitely not enough for two people for a week. It was made clear that we were expected to buy our own. Nearly every VRBO I've stayed in has provided at least more than one roll of toilet paper. We received two laundry pods for the week, and were asked to wash the towels upon departure. First, if you ask guests to wash towels, don't charge such a big housekeeping fee. There were no typical kitchen items like coffee, sugar, salt & pepper, cooking oil, spices. We had to buy everything. Additionally, there was a dog that barked every morning and every night. The property information binder also mentioned the problem with barking dogs and asked guests not to leave their dogs unattended on the lanai. Oh well. If the property was less expensive (I've stayed at similar type units for 400/night) I would've understood the lack of supplies. The unit was clean but the kitchen and bathroom were original and have not been updated.

While we do provide a starter kit of essentials to get guests through the first day or two, we recognize that this may not have been clearly communicated prior to your arrival. We also regret that your stay was affected by noise from a nearby dog. While we do our best to encourage pet owners to be respectful, we understand how disruptive this can be and will continue working to improve the guest experience in this regard.
