Amazing Weekend Getaway

This house kept our four kids, two per famiky hapily occupied. Great location, game room was a blast and the adults loved chilling in the hot tub while the kids slept. Would highly recommend staying here on your holiday get away!

What a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at this property. The house was very nice and it included so much to do. The games, hot tub, and fire pit were all a big hit with the whole crew! Swimming at the owners club was also a highlight. Beyond that we had easy access to the town of Galena where we spent time sightseeing and eating at some wonderful restaurants. It was a great vacation and a great property!

Spring break getaway

We had a wonderful time staying at The Getaway Place. The house was adorable and we absolutely loved all of the games in the game room! It was nice to just hang out and relax during our stay. We were so glad we were able to bring our fur babies as well. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great place in Galena Territory

We stayed here to celebrate my oldest's graduation and 18th birthday - he chose based on the game room, which was definitely enjoyed. The hot tub was another must for him, and that plus the games made it hard to leave to go skiing and other activities! Very clean, excellent communication with the host, comfortable, and just as described. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Galena.

Great winter visit to Galena

It was a perfect cozy place to meet up with our friends and have a great weekend. The game room was a hit for the kids. It was nice to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day as well. Also, it was nice that it is pet friendly so our furry friend could come with us.

Amazing experience overall

We had a great time at the property.Host is very responsive and accommodating. House is great for families, we could find everything we need, including toys for kids and games. Fully stocked kitchen. Hot tub as advertised in great condition, extra towels were provided. Nice area with owners club available with swimming pool, suggestion to take towels with you for a pool, as not provided in the pool. Very close to ski resort. We will definitely come back.

Priceless memories — perfect family vacation

We enjoyed every aspect of The Getaway Place, which was exactly that — a lovely getaway. From the beautiful nature and peaceful location to the amenities and accommodating host. We made priceless memories here. Grandparents to children alike loved the property — we played shuffleboard and arcade games, sat in the hot tub, had a campfire and s’mores. The stars were amazing! There was even a nice basket of toys for our 1 year old to play with and the bigger kids loved the games. We particularly liked the layout where our bedroom was upstairs and separate with a gorgeous private patio. A great setup for large groups —there was 7 in our group plus our dog and it felt spacious and yet warm and cozy. Highly recommended!!

Family getaway

Can't say enough about this property, great location and the house itself had lots to do. Highlights include several arcade games, shuffle board and the hot tub! Also loved that they had charging ports everywhere which can always tricky when traveling.Would highly recommend for families or an adults trip.

Lovely Property with Excellent Amenities

My husband and I brought our adult children and their family for a long August weekend. It was very peaceful having the whole group with us at this lovely home. One group went golfing and another went to the pool and we all gathered back to enjoy some cooking and visiting. The open spaces between cooking, chilling and eating was the best. The kids LOVED the game room, of course! Hot tub out back was a great evening chill spot. Very comfortable home. Hubby and I enjoyed relaxing on the private balcony while the young ones stayed up late. Oh, the pups loved it too!

Perfect stay for a girls weekend

Stayed here for a girls weekend getaway. Loved sitting in the screened in porch. Would love to come back with my kids. They would love all the video games in the loft. Hosts quickly responded to any questions we had.

Fun get away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a girls retreat with 3 sisters, a cousin and an Aunt. It was well stocked and a beautiful place to slow down and relax!

Galena getaway

Overall we had a great trip. There were a few issues with the house but Jess was in constant contact with us to work through them. She even alerted us to potential severe weather headed our way. We loved that the house was dog friendly, enjoyed having our dogs with us for the stay. Some of our family played golf a couple of times as well as tennis and pickle ball. The area is absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful place

I would definitely recommend this property! Jess was very responsive and kind. Best part of the house is the private balcony attached to the master bedroom upstairs. So peaceful. I loved waking up to the sounds of the morning birds. The breeze was nice and it felt like we were secluded from everything. Our dog absolutely loved it too! House was extremely clean and smelled fresh. The sky windows were awesome to look at when we had a big storm. My husband and I played Pac Man in the game room. We had a ball. Hot tub on the back deck was soooo relaxing! Very clean and you're not facing neighbors. Only downfall was the size of the back yard. I would've liked it a little bigger for my dog, but we worked with what we got and he still enjoyed it!

Great Space and Amenities

The stay was perfect for our family of five (two adults and children ages 7, 9, and 11). We all loved the hot tub and video games. The kids enjoyed the oversized whirlpool tub and the owners club amenities. Thanks for a great stay near Galena!
