Great getaway

We loved our stay! It was such a great location, so easy to walk to downtown Galena. We loved having the large backyard for our pup and the hot tub in the cold weather!

Very clean home with many amenities to include a large fenced in yard, fire pit and hot tub. Location was a big plus also.

Lovely Pace to Visit

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The home is immaculate and decorated to the highest standards. The easy walking distance to Main Street Galena made for great convenience. I would highly recommend this wonderful home!

Very much enjoyed our stay. My mom was having surgery. This was a very calm and lovely way to spend the evening. Especially enjoyed some time in the hot tub!

Great house in the perfect location

Clean, comfortable, and exactly as listed! Phillip was a great host who was easy to communicate with. We loved the convenience of the smart lock for check in and check out. House is in a great spot for walking over to main street for food and drinks. Backyard and hot tub were fabulous! Perfect house for a little getaway with our baby and dogs

Girls’ Getaway

We spent 5 nights at the Nook! It was perfect for our stay! The home was clean, cozy and Phil’s communication couldn’t have been better. We loved the hot tub. The kitchen was fairly large and equipped. We enjoyed the coziness of the living room too. We drove to town which took about 5 minutes. We would definitely return!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful girl’s weekend at this adorable home! Clean, cute, good gathering space, and located in an historic neighborhood. Large yard with BBQ, fire pit, and hot tub. We didn’t have a dog, but noticed that it was well outfitted for a pup. Deck gate, fenced yard, dog bowls, bed and treats. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the host’s great communication. We hope to be back!

Galena trip

Everything was as pictured. It was quiet at the end of the street. Fenced yard was great for the dog. We didn't spend a lot of time in the house. We spent most of our time in Galena and Dubuque. Both towns have lots of history and quaint little shops to check out.

Relaxing get away at the Nook

We enjoyed our get away at the nook. Quiet, relaxing time. House was very clean and recently remodeled. Location was close to downtown Galena. Nice park for dog walking near by. There were some large gaps under portions of the fence. Our dog could get thru. Maybe some wire fencing over these gaps would remedy the situation.

Poor location

Property is located with a train track right next to it! Train was permanent going on and off thru the night. Owners wanted to charge us $20 per hour for early or late checkin. Upstairs bathroom drain not working. Cute place but not as cute as it looks!

Weekend getaway

The Nook was perfect. The yard is perfect if you have dogs and the host catered to our four legged friends with beds, toys and treats. Although the railroad tracks are nearby it wasn’t as loud as expected. They are that frequent and fun to watch. Close proximity to town and could walk downtown if preferred.

Great weekend stay

This property was great for a weekend Galena visit with friends! Close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away to stay quiet at night. The hosts were communicative and helpful! Would stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

Thanks, Phil & Casey!The home was in a perfect location & superb amenities.We brought our two doggos & they thoroughly enjoyed the backyard. Completely secure & fenced in, a tad dark at the back of the property for past sunset - bring a flashlight! There is a neighbor dog to the right of the property that barks but did not come over to the fence line, probably a senior (just FYI for future visitors in the case of reactive dogs).Would stay again, 10/10
