Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great Spot! Like a home away from home. Everything was pretty much provided. There is still some construction in the area but nothing overwhelming. The toll bridge thing was a surprise but I think the rental car place could have informed us of that. Lots of places to eat out are available though, if that's your preference. Highly recommend!

My Happy Place

Beach Cottages is s very unique condo complex. We have traveled to many places and have never seen a place with more pool deck space. We call it the palazzo, as it reminds us of the huge gathering areas in Europe! Right on the water, quiet, yet very assessable to shops, restaurants and attractions. Our leasing agent, Kristen, has made things so easy for us. We love Beach Cottages!

Great Condo!

Love, love, love this condo! This is our second time staying at this particular condo (have stayed at this property Beach Cottages for several years). To our surprise the condo has been updated since our last visit in 2021. Love the location on the first floor and the parking space that comes with the unit. Condo was very clean and equipped with all the things we needed during our stay (packNplay, sand toys, chairs, coolers, etc.) My only recommendations for the condo are Keurig, queen size beds in second bedroom (hard for two adults to fit in a double sized bed) and new interior doors. While the interior doors are aesthetically pleasing, they are awful when someone else in the condo is up using lights. The light shines through the glass. Although none of these recommendations will keep us from rebooking! If you are looking for a condo at Beach Cottages - you won’t find a better unit!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Indian Shores for 16 years and have stayed in the Beach Cottages a majority of those. Unit 1112 is by far the nicest stay we have had. They did not skip a thing when renovating this unit. It is absolutely beautiful and we will now call this our home away from home. We plan to book this unit anytime we are visiting Indian Shores in the future. The only thing I would recommend are some rugs, as the floor is extremely slippery (even when not wet and just wearing flip flops or slides).If you are looking for a clean, contemporary condo, this unit is for you! It is well stocked with plenty of towels, extra pillows, blankets, even beach towels. There is a closet full of sand toys, chairs, pool noodles, floats, coolers, umbrellas, you name it!! We also really enjoyed having our patio right on the pool deck, it made things very convenient.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I completed the paper survey and gave to office staff when we checked out. MBR bed extremely uncomfortable and very noisy waking everyone up when getting in or out of bed. Oven dirty and greasy and smoked up condo when used.Mold on water/ice dispenser tray of refrigerator and MBR shower floor. Dining table needs more than 4 chairs Patio furniture old, coming apart and dangerous to sit in. This is our 10th year of renting this unit and very disappointed in conditions. Please let us know if proper maintenance will be done or if we should look for another place. Thank you.

Great condo, perfect location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo is very nice and the location is perfect. We love the first floor, so nice with a toddler. There were coolers, beach chairs, sand toys, beach towels & floaties! This is a nicely updated unit. The refrigerator did go out on our first day. While this isn’t anybody’s fault the management company was less than kind to us. Called to report it and they told us we overloaded it. Explained multiple times we did not. Told us to get ice to put in there as they wouldn’t send anyone out on Saturday. Didn’t want to send on Sunday put I persisted. At one point on Saturday night after 18 hours of traveling, with a 4 year old, they told us we were welcome to check out and get a refund. All because they refused to believe the refrigerator was broken. Service was out on Sunday, had to replace 2 control boards. They were a bit nicer to me after that. Overall, I would stay here again, just would have liked to have been treated a little better.

WOW, could not have been better!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just got home from staying in this wonderful place. The convenience of the walk out to the pool from the deck made the holiday. Kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked with all we needed. Master suit was beautiful with the walk out and window to see the ocean every morning...the master bath with double sinks and walk in shower with bench was sure nice to have. Bright and welcoming condo, one of the best I have stayed in! The location is super and the property in general is well looked after and maintained well, the pool and hot tub are clean and very inviting with lots of tables and chairs and the bbqs are well situated and easy to use. We will be here again to stay in this unit because we loved everything about it.

Not Bad - but not great

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The updates were fantastic - heard how it was before the renovations. However, appliances were bottom of the line. The dryer still had a partial not for resale sign on it. We used it but it ripped our clothes and shrunk most of them as well as leaving rust stains on most of them after one time - hmmm - a few hundred dollars worth of damages.We could not see the Gulf and got fed up with people standing outside our balcony to talk to people on a higher floor.

Family of 18 in complex

Reviewer Comments: 6 family members stayed in this unit for a week over New Years and had a great vacation. We had 12 other family members staying in two additional condos in the complex.This condo (1112) was home-base for everyone.Pros - GREAT kitchen (large enough to accommodate all 18 of us for dinner). Perfect location - could sit on porch and watch older kids swim. Right next to the steps when you come up from the beach/parking. Living room and bathroom were nice. Very spacious condo!Cons - Not much within walking distance. Putt-putt golf was a mile north and we walked to it plus we got used to the Jolly Trolly and it picked up & dropped off out front. We did have one car for the large group and used for the several grocery runs we needed.Overall, would recommend this particular condo and the entire complex.

Great Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this rental and property were great for our family vacation. The area and layout is so nice and being on the ground floor right by the pool with kids was so wonderful. The condo is very nice and updated and very spacious. The guest bedroom could use an upgrade on the beds, they were not very comfortable and very squeaky everytime anyone moved. The kitchen was decently equipped with things needed for cooking meals, maybe a few more pots and pan sizes but overall it worked out for us. We ate most meals in for the week. The condo lacked a dustpan and a decent vacuum for cleaning up the sand on the patio and inside from little kid messes. The cleaning company probably needs to be advised to make sure they clean under and around things- we found a dirty pair of socks under the bed, a left over pair of shorts in a drawer and some leftover candy and empty juice bags in the night stand of the guest room. Overall the condo was clean besides those few minor things. We loved the close proximity to everything and the beach was wonderful and we all had a great time.

The only complaint was the room wasn't ready until 4:10, check in being 4, and the floors were wet. There was alot of dirt and items under the bed and furniture.

Lovely

This property was wonderful for our family of 5. It had everything we needed and more. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented for $30 a day or $150 for the week. There’s a Walmart nearby that will deliver your order and lots of restaurants close as well. I would definitely book this property again.

Stay was ok

We have spent 12+ years staying at Beach Cottages. We have stayed in several condos through the building. We selected this one this year because it was on the ground floor and thought it would be convenient to walk out to pool with our infant son. Check in was ok. The room was not ready by 3pm as advertised. Upon arriving to the room, the condo looked as if it was rushed through when cleaning. Thick dust on the ceiling fans, sand all over the floors. When moving dresser to plug lamp up, they clearly had not been cleaning under the furniture. The room smelled like a dirty locker room. It felt damp in the condo the entire week. The smell sometimes was so bad we had to go outside just to breathe well. The HVAC system needs updated. There was also a bad gnat issue in the kitchen. All week we were fighting to kill them! Overall, the condo has been updated, very roomy but compared to my parents room 2 stories up on this stay and all of our previous stays in the past, we can get a much nicer condo in this facility. I was disappointed with the HVAC, lack of cleaning and gnat issue. One last thing, if someone with kids it staying above you, you hear everything in the master and living room!!
