Welcome to Hilo Lagoon Centre 602, our serene end-unit condo. Hilo Lagoon Centre is a noteworthy mid-century modern building in downtown Hilo. Condo 602 is on the end of the building and boasts the very best views! This condo has two bedrooms, each with an en-suite full bathroom. The main bedroom has a king sized platform bed, and small desk. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a large en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Both bathrooms have a vanity sink, toilet, and a shower-bathtub combo.

The fully stocked kitchen is in the middle of the unit between the bedrooms, ensuring privacy. Cook locally found foods or reheat your fabulous restaurant leftovers. The kitchen has 4 bar stools for casual dining and many small appliances including a microwave, 12-cup drip coffee maker and toaster oven. In the living room is a flat screen internet TV for streaming your own shows and free WiFi. Relax on our buttery leather sofa with cozy throws. Every floor at the Hilo Lagoon Centre has a convenient laundry room with coin operated machines for your use. Enjoy the incredible garden, lagoon and ocean vistas from three balconies. You may even spot local wildlife Nene goose or ducks!

Hilo, Hawaii is the best kept secret town in our famed state. In the condo we provide you with a binder full of suggestions for activities, restaurants, tours and more to inspire your vacation. Looking to tour a chocolate farm, or hug cows, or view planetary wonders, or taste a myriad of tropical delights? Hilo has you covered! Not to mention, Hilo is a short drive to Volcanoes National Park where you may see the birth of earth itself when active lava flows are present. Be prepared to be awe inspired!

The place could use some lamps and the remotes did not work with the tv even for streaming (perhaps the batteries were dead?) which didnt matter that much as we were not there to watch TV. Was a very nice and quite place to stay.

Hilo Lagoon

Condo was nice and well maintained with nice views. Building is a bit dated, we weren’t sure what to expect from a 70’s hotel and it was definitely a new experience for us. The building has an interesting layout and vibe.

Property management company kept in contact with us. Making sure we checked in and responded to any questions and concerns promptly. Property was spacious with three balconies overlooking a park, clean and tidy. Parking spot was covered and close by. The building has 24 hour security. I would definitely come back again.

Traveled with spouse and college child. Pros: location, space, 2 private bedroom suites, clean. Cons: parking a bit clunky, sparse and could have provided a few more amenities such as extra blankets, pillows comfort items.

Very Easygoing Stay in Hilo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed at the Hilo Lagoon Centre a few times when coming to Hilo for work trips. It is in a great location in downtown Hilo. This condo unit, 602 has the best corner views of any unit I've stayed in before. I loved watching the lagoons below and felt very peaceful here. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. This condo gives a very easygoing vibe and a place to rest and relax.

Nice Location

Property is older, but pur unit was clean and well appointed. All kitchen small appliances looked new and all worked perfectly. Silverware and cookwear all looked new and clean. Beds were comfortable. My only suggestion would be to change the lighting. Its surgical white and very bright. My only complaint - and this is a function of being old - the showerheads were only 5 feet high. Being 6 feet tall. This was uncomfortable. However the views made up for this :) Would stay again!
