Stay in Hilo Lagoon Centre Unit 701 for a cosmopolitan vibe in the heart of Hilo, Hawaii. Walk to our quaint downtown restaurants, shops, and ocean parks! With outstanding views of mountains and the ocean from the condo, you'll never forget you're in one of the best towns in Hawaii. Enjoy any of the three balconies in our condo with a bird's eye view of town. The condo has two bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The central kitchen and living room separates the bedrooms for privacy. Four barstools offer easy seating and our fully stocked kitchen is convenient for cooking. The main bedroom boasts a California King bed, dresser, walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two XL Twin beds, dresser, closet and ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower. The living room is very comfortable with a couch and two arm chairs for enjoying the entertainment of streaming TV and WiFi service.

Air Conditioning is central through three handlers to control temperature in three zones (main area, main bedroom, second bedroom).

The condo building has an outdoor swimming pool that you are invited to use during your stay. Guests agree to follow Hilo Lagoon Centre Pool Rules, Mahalo!

There is a common laundry room on the floor for your use. Please note the laundry machines are coin operated and require quarters.

ONE parking space is included for the duration of your stay with us.

We were in town visiting a friend of my daughter’s. The condo was very well taken care of and clean. The kitchen area although nice was quite small for two people to be in there at the same time. The area surrounding the condo is more of a business setting but it allowed us the convenience of being close to her friend. We never did get to the pool area but it looked like black top surrounding the actual pool. Not sure how that would feel on one’s feet in the summer time. Overall we had a very nice stay!

This was a nice place for our family of 4. The online listing was accurate. One downside was the pool was closed during our stay which was disappointing. Also, there were quite limited toiletries available for the duration of our stay and we ended up needing to buy additional shampoo, soap, etc.

Great Value - Great Location

Nice condo

This is a nicely updated condo in an older high-rise building. Views of the mountains to the north/west and the bay in the distance from one bedroom. Located near "old" downtown and restaurants. Adjacent to a very large park. Kitchen is reasonably equipped and supplied. Beds are comfortable. Nice TV, but with no cable, be sure you come with streaming passwords. Overall, a nice stay.

Great Stay in Hilo!

We enjoyed staying at this property to visit Hilo. It’s a very convenient location (walkable to downtown but we also drove in a few times). Parking was convenient. The pool area is very secure and a nice benefit. We loved watching the planes coming in from the amazing master bedroom windows. Check in/out was a breeze. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent updated condo

This building used to be a hotel decades ago. It is an older building but this unit is completely updated. It was a perfect home base for us. Safe and comfortable. Great bathroom set up for two couples. Great communication with the host service.

Photos Were Spot On!

We all know pictures lie. This is the exception! Immaculate, light and bright, beautifully staged and so very comfortable and accommodating! Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were better than our own, and location was perfection. Parks, restaurants, beachfront... we loved it and will be back!

Great home away from home!

Condo was lovely! Nice, quiet and great location. Kitchen is stocked for cooking meals which was great. I would recommend they stock a pasta strainer and also recommend they supply several beach towels. A couple of fans would also be nice to move the air around. All minor items and even without these things, the condo was great. Property Manager answered any questions we had right away. You won't be disappointed with this rental! Love it. We had a great time. Thank you!

However the main bedroom has beautiful views from immense windows to the south. The building is dated but perfectly serviceable. There are weird streaming channels, but no cable.

Stayed 1 Week for a Family Gathering

There are pro's and cons to the condo. First the pros;The view is amazing from the livingroom and the master bedroom overlooking the park and the bay. The condo is good size and quite comfortable.Location is centrally located and close to everything.Easy parking.Cons:Very loud coqui frogs keeping you awake every night. from dusk to dawn...and a wild pig greeted my brother in 5am in the parking lot.when he went down to the car to go get his morning coffee and newspaper. Security did nothing to get that pig out of the parking lot. They could see it on their cameras, because they sit right next to the elevators.Needs 2 TV's. .There is only one. Refrigerator appeared to look like it had an icemaker in the door. It was not working. Owner brought me a bag of ice instead. .I was given a refund for the inconvenience of other problems we experienced with the outside building being painted.during our stay without being told. Next time, I will go to a local realty company,VRBO has too many fees!

It had comfortable space for family of four, with two single beds in the second bedroom. The location next to the lagoon was nice, making daytime walkable access to Banyan Drive pleasant. There is one dedicated parking space. It is unfortunate the lanais don't face the lagoon park, but since it is a corner unit the master bedroom side window has a partial view of the park. The view of Mauna Kea is nice. I was told I would receive information how to access the room before we arrived, and that never did happen. The contact we were provided helped us obtain the information on the day we arrived, so the inconvenience was minimal.

Very Lovely Appointed Condo Unit

Very lovely appointed and very clean end unit condo with three separate A/C units in each room along with three lanai's, even though the building certainly could use painting and remodeling! The building shares offices with doctors, lawyers, realtors, etc so there is some vehicle noises from people coming for their appointments as well as the condo being in a busy downtown area. The side view from the master bedroom to the park was very pretty from the condo. We wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise of the frogs at night, no dishwasher or laundry facilities in the unit. (We knew about those three things in advance). Kitchen area is tight to operate comfortably between the stove on one side and the refrigerator across from it. The microwave is too small to heat a dinner plate of food in. The pillows smelled of stale body odor. We also noticed that sounds can carry from the condo units into the hallway. We loved that there was streaming service and reliable internet service. We also enjoyed our walks in the lovely park next to the condo building and the Farmers Market a few blocks down the street from the condo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great stay and was the unit matched the description. Everything you need was at the unit. The King sized bed in the master bedroom was very comfy. The location was great - centrally located in Hilo Town. Communication with the hosts was easy - they responded right away. Two comments - neither are a deal breaker. 1) Maybe a TV in the master bedroom? This is just a me preference and not at all a ding on the unit. It would have helped me relax after long days of adventuring...and speaking of long days, 2) I think that it should be made more clear what time the doors in the building lock. We came back late one night and was chewed out by the security guard because we didn't have a building key and couldn't access the elevator. Now, we should have known that the building key was on the lanyard with the pool key, but that wasn't made clear. Nor was the "yellow," sheet with guest information made aware to us until we were scolded by the security guard. Perhaps the key and the yellow paper should be item number 1 in the unit's information binder. Again, not deal breakers at all as we really enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!!

The unit was very clean, comfortable and the views were beautiful! The kitchen is small but had all essential items. The restaurant downstairs was awesome! The park behind the unit is beautiful! Love the pond. It’s very close to downtown but not really a comfortable walking distance. Directions for check in were great.
