Otter's Landing Treehouse ~ Dog Friendly Mid-Term Rental on the River!

Available for 30+ Nights ~ The Treehouse at Otter’s Landing is a great choice for your longer visit to the Russian River! This charming 430 square foot loft cottage is a cozy retreat located on a sunny, riverfront property. The Treehouse is one of three cottages on the property, and the closest to the river. Guests are delighted by the back deck offering sweeping views and the well-equipped interior full of natural light. Located an easy drive to Santa Rosa and Windsor, this is an excellent choice for those who like their work trips to have a vacation vibe!
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a tastefully furnished open living space with lots of windows. The living area, with high ceilings, feels spacious for its small size. The comfy furniture and gas fireplace invite you to unwind after a long day, and the futon couch can be converted to a single bed. The full kitchen has fridge, stove and sink, and the dining counter is added prep space or can seat four. Up the spiral staircase, you'll find the open loft bedroom, with a queen-sized bed.
The back deck – exclusively for guests of The Treehouse - boasts river and tree views, dining area, and a propane BBQ. The large, shared yard ends at the bank of the Russian River, and a natural path and stairs lead down to the water. Stairs and a boat/swim dock are available in the summer months.

Located just a short distance from downtown Guerneville, guests have easy access to shopping and dining. Armstrong Woods is 4 miles, The Charles Schultz Airport is 17 miles, the Sonoma Coast is 15 miles, and Santa Rosa is 20 miles. Whether you're relocating to the area, on an extended trip or in the area for work, this cottage serves as an ideal base for your stay.


Know Before You Book:
Monthly Rentals: Otter’s Landing (The Nest & Treehouse cottages) are only available for monthly rentals (30-to-90-night stays) at this time. All monthly stays require mid-stay cleanings, and you may see yard service and other vendors on the property during your stay.

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Otter’s Landing – Treehouse - is 3 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.
Parking: There is parking for 2 vehicles along the fence – outside of the yard. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited.

Bed Sizes: Loft: Queen bed; Living room: Slightly larger Twin futon.

Heating: Gas fireplace.

Cooling: There are portable fans and window screens. No AC

Kitchen: The delightful kitchen has a fridge, gas stove/range, sink, and is stocked with cooking and eating utensils, basic spices including salt and pepper and coffee maker. It does not include a dishwasher or garbage disposal

Bathroom: Full bathroom with shower/tub combo.

Property: The Treehouse is the unit closest to the river at Otter’s Landing - a three-unit property in the Vacation Beach neighborhood of Guerneville, CA. The Nest, the studio unit, sleeps 2 also rents for 30+ night stays. The two-bedroom Cottage is currently rented to kind and easy-going full-time tenants. The large riverside yard and river access are shared by all three units.

Location: Otter’s Landing is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the area along the front fence and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Sound carries so we ask guests to be aware of noise – especially once quiet time starts at 10 pm. Stairs: Once in The Treehouse, there is a spiral staircase between the main living area and sleeping loft. There are 2-ish stories of steps up to the cottage and multiple paths and sets of stairs leading to the shared laundry room, river access and dock (seasonal). There is a long flight of stairs from the path in the yard to the river dock (seasonal).

Pet Friendly: This home welcomes 1 well-mannered dog. If you have more than 1 dog or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.

Fencing:
Most of the property is fenced – the areas closest to the road and neighbors are fenced, but the area closest to the river is open.

A Note About TVs: The Samsung Smart TV in the main living area has access to Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services.

Shared Amenities:
Laundry Room: Otter’s Landing has 3 cottages on the parcel. The Treehouse (this cottage) and The Nest share a laundry room with a single washer and dryer below the The Nest.

River Access, Dock, and River Deck: These amenities are shared between the 3 cottages on the property. Please be kind when sharing spaces and toys with others. The River Deck overlooks the river and has a picnic table.

Boats: Shown as a group in the photos are separated for each cottage.

Docks, Boats, and River Access: These are seasonal amenities and only available when conditions allow. Expect docks, boats, and river access when the summer dams are in (mid-June to mid- September). Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly.
