Platsen är unbeatable- promenad till centrum, Inner Harbor, stränderna längs Dallas Road i 10 minuter.

Det finns flera ställen att äta här i hamnen och ett kafé. Änder och svanar och tätningar och måsar är överallt.

Du är bara fem minuters promenad till havet på Dallas väg där man kan promenera eller cykla för miles längs havet. Nära Beacon Hill Park, museer, kejsarinnan Hotel. Har kaffe eller lunch på vågbrytare Bistro på vattnet och gå ut på den långa vågbrytare piren till lighthouse- detta är den bästa platsen för att utforska de olika områdena av staden utan att behöva ta en bil.
Små vatten taxibilar körs varje 15 minuter till stan och mycket mer.

Inga husdjur ledsen. Observera-tanke på det begränsade lagringsutrymme jag inte utrustade med barnstolar eller spjälsängar eller en spelområdet för mycket små barn.

Unique sleeping experience

We loved our 2 nights in the houseboat. The host Carene was very helpful and our room was comfortable and cozy. To be only 15 minutes from downtown Victoria and on the waterfront...right on the water actually!...was fantastic.

what an experience

Great place. Five minute walk from inner harbor, ten minutes on a waterfront trail. Plenty of room in the bedroom. Quite an experience, to be in a floathome, and for less than any hotel in town. This will be my first choice anytime I come to Victoria.

Perfect Location!!

Our stay was wonderful. Carene is a very gracious hostess and her houseboat was amazing in so many ways. The location is at the top of the list. The houseboat sits in the harbor amongst other houseboats, wonderful restaurants, and beautiful views. Downtown is a short walk away with many sites to see. The houseboat is beautiful inside and staying on the water in the harbor created an atmosphere and experience that can't be matched.

great get away

Decided to try something different. Booked this float home and had a wonderful time. The owner careen, was hospitable and helpful. Pointed us in the right direction for what to do and where to eat. A t.v in the room would have been welcome. Overall we loved it. Thanks and hope to return

House Boat Weekend

My wife and I had a great stay at your bed and breakfast floating home. It's a great location, close enough to walk to all the sites and dining options. Makes for a nice relaxing winter outing in the harbor with all the interesting floating homes and fishing boats. Carene is a great hostess, she is very knowledge for dining choices, and local attractions. The room was great, very quite with nice views of the other homes, just step outside your door onto the deck and docks. Parking was a breeze and located just up the ramp for our room. Enjoyed our stay, we will come again. terry and linda

Beautiful Room, Amazing Location and Literally THE BEST Sleep of Our Lives!!!

What a wonderful place! We completely enjoyed our stay at Carene's float house. Centrally located. The water taxi is just steps away. The room is beautiful. We enjoyed many evenings sitting on our balcony. Unless you're looking out the window, you don't notice that you're ever so gently moving. During the day Fisherman's Wharf is full of activity, but as soon as the sun sets, it gets very quite there. In the 11 years that I have been with my husband, he has always had problems sleeping. We have tried multiple different mattresses, prescriptions, he's lost weight and he uses CPAP machine every night, but nothing seems to help him. However, at the float house, he slept through the night ALL five nights that we were there - which is nothing short of a miracle! We finished our week in Victoria at The Empress and both nights he was back to not being able to sleep.

Unique, beautiful, relaxing

My husband and I stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed this unique b&b and the surrounding area. From the fresh ocean breeze at night to the quaint Fishermans Wharf this is a must if you are traveling to Victoria.

Fantastic little getaway in an amazing location

Had no idea the wharf was that busy. Little shops and eateries (mostly seafood, and so good). Once ensconced in our getaway, we couldn't tell we were afloat. Comfortable bed with a nice little patron just a foot off the water. It's a brisk 15 minute walk to the inner harbour, and from there, downtown Victoria is yours to explore. For those not wanting to do the walk there and back, the water taxis drop off and pick you almost at your front. Would definitely stay here again, perhaps our next anniversary.

Awesome floathome B&B in Victoria

My husband and I just stayed her for a few days (March 23rd to 25th). The room we had was very large with a nice sized bed (very comfy), table & chairs, mini fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom was modern/large. We also liked our small terrace off the bedroom. Carene was very nice/helpful. The fisherman's wharf is adorable with some cute shop/restaurants. I would definitely recommend as it's very cool to stay in something that's not a traditional hotel. Everything was spotless!!!

Charming little place.....

This floathome is located right on the water at Fisherman Wharf. Just a nice walk down David Foster Trail along the water and you will be at downtown! We love waking up to the sounds of sea gulls in the morning. The harbor seals were so cute! Although it's close to the restaurants at the wharf, it's nice and quiet in the evening. We love having the healthy breakfast at Imagine Studio. It's such a cute little cafe! Great stay!

Comfortable floating experience at Fishermans Wharf

The description of this property was accurate and inviting. It was close to amenities and downtown Victoria either a walk or by water taxi. The property was well maintained and clean. Carene was pleasant and cheerfully welcomed us into her home. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the nearby Imagine café where the Staff were very caring with their food preparation. We would happily recommend this property to friends or family. Thank you Carene from two Aussie travellers

Fun place to stay

Our room at bed and breakfast was exactly as described. Very clean and nicely decorated. We loved morning coffee on back deck overlooking the water. Our host was very helpful. Also water taxis picked up right at our door. Thanks For a nice 3 days!

The coolest and most unique place I've ever stayed.

We were blown away by this float home. We have done the whole hotel stay every time we travel but wanted to make this trip unique and extraordinary. Carene's home gave us exactly this. I can't praise her enough for her fabulous communication and personalized touches throughout our room. She was out of town when we were visiting so she had a wonderful friend greet us. The room was super clean and so beautiful and couldn't be more centrally located for our needs. It's a quick 10 minute walk to the port and busy downtown, yet quiet and far enough away to feel like you are away from the tourists. Thank you so much for sharing your adorable home with us.

I have lived in 3 countries and found my ideal place to live here in victoria. I run a b&b in my floathome in summers but i also travel for months at a time and rent out the entire house from November.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Living on a float home is a marvellous adventure, romanticized by many, but realized by few.
Every time I come home to Fisherman's wharf I pinch myself because it is simply the coolest place to live. There are 33 floathomes here of different shapes and sizes and thousands of tourists who come to look at the amazing funky colorful houses, to buy food from several kiosks, to do whale watching and kayak tours, to feed the fat seals.
I am so lucky to live here

Victoria has the best weather in bc, it is friendly and safe

I chose to live in fisherman's wharf because it is vibrant - there is always something to be seen and i hear the seagulls calling, i see the swans and ducks feeding, i hear happy people talking and laughing on the docks. The community of 33 float home owners are different, quirky, supportive, helpful. Visitors would pay to be able to see the inside of our homes. There is a big park directly next to the wharf. You can walk out the door and buy meals right on the dock.

I saw this village and this house and felt right at home immediately.
As a closet chef that loves to cook and feed people, the kitchen was a big attraction. I give cooking lessons here as it is spacious and again- i bet a lot of them come just because they have never been in a float home.

A bonus was the 2 enormous bedrooms with full ensuite bathrooms. You open the door or windows and look down and see thousands of tiny herrings and star fish.

There is also a full bathroom upstairs and i added a queen murphy bed to accommodate more friends, guests or visitors.

The cherry on top is the two patios- one is my gin and tonic sunset small patio- covered- that gets the evening sun and sunset views and people watching. The other large deck is very private from the visitors on the docks with a bbq and water feature and pot plants. It is very quiet after dusk.

Typical questions we are asked- Does the house move a lot? No, it is securely tied with special ropes to the dock. In windy conditions it shimmies. Nothing needs to be tied down and no glasses fall out of the closets.
We have propane and electrical heating. Our sewage goes directly into the city pipes.
