Absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful! The apartment itself was spacious and had everything you needed - even a laundry room. The setting was spectacular! I loved watching the the hummingbirds. Allie and Bob were lovely - had us over for wine,appetizers, and conversation!

Short stay

Great little apartment, well stocked and clean. The location and visibility was difficult and even scary. The road is horrible without turn arounds. It’s pitch black and lights r needed at driveway.

Apple Hill Getaway

We had a fantastic stay, the apartment is in a beautiful loacation and Allison and Bob where wonderful host. The apartment was clean nicely decorated and kitchen was as well stocked as any home I've rented. If you want to explore Apple Hill this is the place to stay or just want to have a restful stay.

This cozy little cottage is very well-appointed and perfect for my husband and I. The amenities are amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the 10 minute drive on a very narrow windy road that was difficult to navigate in the dark. The quiet setting in the mountains with many pine trees and fresh air is a plus + highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful Retreat!

Allison and Bob were awesome hosts! We had a great time chatting with them in passing. Allison was also very responsive to my messages before and during the trip. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious for two of my friends and I for the weekend. We had everything we needed plus more available at the apartment. Would absolutely love to stay again!

Me and my wife were looking for a weekend getaway when we stubled upon this one bedroom apartment. Let me tell you, the pictures for this home do it justice. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. I think Allison and Bob are interior decorators. Because the home looked amazing! The tile work, color scheme, the yard. It was an amazing. 10 stars, we will be back 1 to 2 times a year.

Best getaway!

We celebrated our 24th Anniversary here and if I'd known about this place 23 years ago I would've planned to celebrate each anniversary here! The apartment had everything we needed plus little bonuses like a basket of goodies, plenty of coffee, use of their laundry room with detergent and fabric softener, everything you need for the shower, etc. And it was so clean, which is super important to me. The owners were so nice and gave us great suggestions of places to go to eat or visit. And let's not forget the beautiful surroundings! I hope to be back someday... hopefully sooner than later!

Best. Property. Ever.

My daughter and I love the area, and I was in need of some serious R&R from working so much this spring and summer. I booked this property, because from the photos, it looked so quaint and welcoming. It went beyond our expectations, and we cannot wait to go back! The property is absolutely gorgeous. When we entered the apartment, I noticed immediately that it was impeccably clean and everything was so updated, it seemed brand new. Everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen from a full size fridge and freezer, to a stove and oven, and right down to wooden tongs to take your toast out of the toaster. We even had a jar of fresh herbs on the counter from Allie's garden that I used in my tomato sauce one night. It is obvious that there was so much thought put into making this apartment super comfortable for guests, so they don't need anything while they're there, and they can also feel right at home. The deck is so peaceful and serene, especially at night - my daughter and I colored out there, listened to audibles, and even just the crickets. We enjoyed some local restaurants and the bodies of water nearby, a museum and national park, and just had an overall fantastic time. It was exactly what we needed! Allie, Bob, and Bailey are fabulous hosts. They have great energy, and are just delightful. They had some great recommendations for swimming and restaurants, and my daughter just loved playing ball with Bailey! Thank you for a great stay! We can't wait to come back!

Relaxing!

The apartment was clean and beautiful! We loved the the scenery; mountains, trees, gardens, and turkey's! The owners were super helpful, and very nice. Even though they were around, we didn't see them or hear them. I would stay here again if given the chance!

Hosts were more than accomodating

Great apt. Incredibly well stocked. Hosts were amazing. When we mentioned it to our host she lamented that there was no bread maker. We accepted an offer on our house while we were there and cupcakes were delivered in celebration.

Quiet get away

Charming & cozy spot with every amenity

You won't be in want of anything here (save for maybe faster wifi, but do you really need that on vacation?). This is a lovely spot with all details covered: large towels, coffee for the morning, snacks & drinks, roaming area for your four-legged pal, a fireplace, a grill, music on-demand, a comfy bed ... perfect!

Home Away from Home!

Bob and Allie's place is a home away from home and I mean that quite literally. Traveling with two young kids, I always come prepared. I try to lessen the necessity to have to go to the store to grab something for impatient children. This home had all the things I could ever have needed like in my own home - even though I came prepared, it was wonderful, to me, had I forgotten something, that I would have been pleasantly covered. This wasn't just a rental with a few things in it. It is quite literally your home away from your own home. The home was clean and cozy and the property great. My kids practically just wanted to stay in the whole time were it not for the excitement of the snow enticing them to go out for a little bit. Needless to say, it was a great little getaway for us. My children and I were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely come again. (Bob and Allie, the owners, were welcoming, and helpful - their dog is pretty awesome too. Thank you!)

Everything was just like it was advertised. Location, apartment, the owners and everything! It was !

Very nice, cozy, warm and comfortable. Electric was off because of high winds but the had an awesome generator, so we were fine . Thanks so much for everything!

Even better than advertised

We had a wonderful 2 week stay. The photos online show that it is a cute apartment in a beautiful wooded area, but that is only the beginning of all that is offered. Allie and Bob are very very friendly but not at all intrusive. The apartment is furnished with every amenity you can imagine: Kuerig pods, tea, snacks, sun screen, dog and cat treats, ample supplies of tissue and a host of other items. The fireplace was a treat as well as the firepit on the back deck. Allie provided fresh flowers for the living room and bedroom. We were spoiled. We will definitely return. This is a special find.

Amazing gem

Stayed at this property with my wife and our Labrador first off this place is amazing the property is well maintained I love that it is secure and completely gated especially since we travel with our Labrador they do have a a dog of there own Bailey was very friendly and got along great with our Harley it was nice for Harley to have someone to socialize with. Then as you enter the home it just feels so home like the decor is amazing plenty of room the amenities and things that are in the home just made the stay so much better personally I found the beds extremely comfortable even and after a couple of nights sleeping we ordered the same type of bedding for our home because we thought it was amazing . The patio was a nice place to sit with a cup of coffee even had some deer come up to the back of the property just enhancing the stay. The owners were friendly and helpful and even though they live right there they allowed us to enjoy the property and our stay and really were just like friendly neighbors we loved our stay only one regret this was part of a two week road trip we wish we allowed more time at this property and we have already looked into rebooking for a longer stay next fall

Perfect Retreat

This is hands down the most comfortable and well-appointed Bed & Breakfast we've ever had the pleasure to stay in. The apartment is perfectly private (it has its own door); the apartment is quiet and yet comfortably connected to the hosts' home. You will find anything and everything you need to cook with, as well as extra towels and blankets. The hosts, Allie and Bob were kind enough to provide English muffins, butter, fresh tomatoes and other goodies for our first breakfast--and they keep a well-stocked coffee machine. The setting is beautifully tucked away in a very quiet nook in the woods and yet, you can be in Placerville in less than 30 minutes. There's also a nearby Safeway grocery store for your food and other needs. As a bonus, the hosts are thoughtful and friendly people!

Amazing place!

This was the most amazing property we've ever visited! So quiet, clean, well equipped, and really comfortable. The owners gave us so much privacy even when they were on the property we hardly saw them, we were able to enjoy the outside fire and sky full of stars... I took a nap on the hammock, enjoyed truly mesmerizing scenery. Our dog loved it there, he got special treatment with great doggy treats. I addition, we arrived to the complementary basket full of snacks, cold beer in the fridge and kitchen which had everything you needed! The patio on the back was truly amazing with nice wooden chairs, gas firepit, great bbq and shade from pine trees... If you would like to take a brake from the noise of the city this is more than perfect place to visit! Apple Hill or the lake to swim in are just 20 mins away! We will be back to rest and relax in this most unique place ever!!! Next time for entire week!!!
