First this is Newport Beach coast. Great spot if you like the area. It’s a 2 bedroom and that’s what we got. Happy with the place as it looked okay. Not the best Ocean View but we could see it. The AC works. When it is on it is nice. It cools down to the temperature you want and then will take 40/50 minutes to come back on so it gets warm and then finally goes on. I am a bit of a light sleeper. My partner is not. She was not bothered by people in the floor upstairs walking around. But I was. Around 5 am or so a huge water stream comes on and hammers against the bedroom window. That woke us both up. It never got fixed. Forget about calling the host about any issues. They will differ you to deal with all of your issues to the resort. Sho is non existent in this area. But very much a great help if you want to stay an additional night. Sho will do the calling for you and check with the resort on that. I guess if Sho can make money then that is more of a motivation to call for you. Sho did let us check out 30 min later than 10am. So that was good. Will we return based on all of this? No! Rented far better spots close to the beach with great hosts and way less issues. Good luck with this one. Maybe they will improve.

Very difficult property manager

The residence itself was fine. Clean enough, not very updated. Decent amenities. My experience working with this property manager on VRBO was the worst I’ve ever had. She took days to respond, would not try to work with us on a different date when we had a conflict, was nasty in her communications (literally saying, “I owe you nothing” when I was trying to ask if there was another date we could book- and the entire 2023 calendar was open). She also hung up on us when a VRBO agent tried to conference us in because she hadn’t responded for several weeks to our inquiry to change the reservation. Just a nasty, awful woman. There are many other people who rent this same property. Stay away from Shiloh. We’ve rented so often from VRBO the last several years, and this woman was the worst.

Loved out stay!

The hotel is in a great location and has beautiful views. The rooms are nice and clean. The owner was very responsive. The pool area was very nice. We used their shuttle service which was also very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome Stay at Marriott Newport Coast Villas

5 day stay at this Newport resort. Easy checkin, nice clean accommodation, 3 large pool areas with all the amenities. Couldn’t ask for more. We will return!

Perfect for kids!!!

Everything was super clean, the staff are amazing, The full kitchen is really full, it has Absolutely everything in the kitchen. We loved our fist visit there, definitely will come back soon!

Property Management Issue

We equested specific dates/days (Wed-Mon)for our vacation at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas due to family and friends’ schedule and restaurant availability (most are closed on Monday). The property manager arbitrarily changed the date/days to Fri-Wed and gave us the impression that we needed to send the payment or lose the reservations. We did and had to adjust our schedule. Lost an opportunity to go to our favorite restaurant on Monday with our friends and family since it was closed and that was the only day for getting together. Friday check-in was very busy as compared to a weekday check-in… we know this from 2 past experiences at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas. We also were not able to get our requested location since the start date was Friday the start of a weekend. We noticed that on that Monday thru Wednesday there were a lot fewer cars parked in the garage and parking lots and are making the assumption that we may have had a better chance of getting our requested location. Although we understand that the VRBO guests are probably at the bottom of the list for requested locations. Had a very difficult time communicating with the property manager. It took her days to get back with answers to questions and her delay may have caused the change in dates and inability to get our requested location. We will never use her again.

Terrific Family Friendly Property Overlooking the Pacific

Great family friendly property. Water slides for the kids and koi pond were the favorites. Wish there were more food options (only one restaurant).

Beautiful grounds, great condo!!!

We stayed here for a week and are already dreaming of going back. We ended up with a canyon view room. Was a beautiful view, but We did try to change to an ocean view. A tip for future guests, the owner can call and request special requests such as ocean view, “quiet” area, etc. a few weeks prior to your stay. We were still happy with our room and it was a very quiet room away from all the hustle and bustle of the activities and main pool. Our room was clean, beds comfortable, kitchen was good. Our favorite was the shuttle to crystal cove and Laguna. So nice to not have to deal with parking at the beaches. We also spent a few nights swimming in the pools. They were clean and not overly crowded. My kids liked the princess and pirate hour. Loved our vacation!!! Thank you!!!

Perfect for our family!

This place was a dream. A pool, hot tub, ping pong, shuffleboard and fire pit right by the property. It’s close to some of our favorite beaches and an overall fantastic experience for our family. We will definitely be coming back.

The property was great! Well kept, efficiently run and the staff was kind and knowledgeable.

Although a bit pricey I was very pleased with this resort and would stay again! Only a short drive to just about anything we wanted to do and the resort offers free shuttle service to many places which is a great option as well. Our room was very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable for the 6 of us and we had a breathtaking view of the ocean. Only a short, beautiful walk to the pool, fitness center and spa. Overall, our 8 day stay was a great experience and we would recommend the Marriott Newport Coast Villas!

Excellent stay

We love it here. We were a little worried about using VRBO to book as we have had friends have bad experiences BUT this was not the case. The room was perfect with a nice ocean view. We checked in and all our info was correct. The rental owner checked in a week or two prior making sure we were confirmed. I have stayed at these villas many times and the only issue is the noise of other people above. The units are wood construction so any hard walkers or kids can be disrupting. This last stay we had a family up above us and they were terribly noisy. Kids were up at 7am jumping around everyday which if you're a light sleeper isn't ideal. That being said the overall stay and property are still 5 stars.
