Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful two weeks in Santa Maria a Colle. The villa is beautiful, spacious - with the pool a highlight for all and a perfect location to relax and enjoy the stunning location and nearby Lucca

The house is beautiful and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the AC works well. The gardens are amazing with lovely flowers and fruit trees. The Pizza oven was great fun to use! It is a little walk down the hill to the pool but my 86 year old mum could make it. Once there the pool area is excellent, very spacious. The Table Tennis was a nice suprise! Many thanks Anna!

Myself, my partner and our whippet had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Everything was catered for, so well stocked with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. The garden is completely secure and our dog was in heaven! Cesarina is the property manager and is always available and nothing is too much trouble, not that we needed anything! The pool is beautiful, the best views from every window and you are surrounded by olive trees and the most friendly neighbours. We have already booked to go back!

The views from the villa are amazing, to wake up with mountains on one side, and panoramic views down to the ocean on the other was simply breath taking. Fabrizio is a lovely host, very welcoming and the villa he has designed himself is wonderful. Staying there is just Dolce Vita.

This has to be the most beautiful house we have stayed in for a summer vacation. Graziella and Giuseppe were such kind and attentive hosts. This is simply the most perfect place to stay in proximity to Lucca.

Villa gentillina is a great family home and the layout, equipment and facilities served all our needs as we were a family of five which included our grown up adult children, aged 24, 22 and 19. Come prepared to deal with what the hot weather and humidity brings and you will find Villa gentillina a welcome home to come back to after any days out sightseeing, or simply spend the day at the pool and have your own barbecue which we did on one of our days. There is enough space to enjoy the place together or have your own private space too with some peace and quiet in the reading room. Practicality and access to the property and the immediate surrounds is achievable with a Tiguan sized car (2010 plate), but any bigger would test your driving skills. The car parking and private gates were a real bonus as of course was the pool. Stiava itself is a small town with enough resource to enjoy a self catering lifestyle and has a fantastic pizzeria from which you can take away from, however we did travel out of the town to Viareggio which has a beautiful promenade and a varied selection of restaurants and shops which proved to be far busier / more lively and within easy reach. We visited the region to visit many places in and around Tuscany and found that villa gentillina provided the ideal combination of privacy, relaxation and comfort as well as a great host in Silvia who gave us some great recommendations and advice on arrival, including the nearby beach clubs in lido di camaiore ,thank you for a wonderful stay.
