  • A really great place

"Located 1 mi from downtown. Water taxi at end of street. City bus around the corner. Very clean, well maintained and beautifully finished home with tasteful personal touches throughout. Owner was great to deal with."

  • Memory Maker

"The summer of 2016 was the second time that our family stayed at the Beach House and it won't be the last! We hope to make a stay at the Beach House in Parksville a family tradition from now on! It is a perfect spot to enjoy precious Family Time, whether it's in the swimming pool, in the ocean, digging in the sand, playing games, or watching the sunset - there was something for everyone. The house is very comfortable, with it's large family areas and bedrooms. The location is perfect as it is close to shopping and other activities and is a good home base for day trips around the island. We took advantage of the many golf courses close by and enjoyed a fishing charter which resulted in a delicious meal of fresh salmon and shrimp! Thank you for sharing your special spot on the beach with us!"

  • Beautiful property in the Town of Tofino

"We have been to Tofino many times and have always stayed on the beach. We wanted to see what it was like to stay in town and this is the first time we have done so. Lucky for us as this was a great place to stay. We arrived a bit late the first evening because, although we live in Victoria, we had flown in from a weekend in Alberta and our plane had been delayed. This was no problem for Tom and Christine, and they were very accommodating. When we woke up the next morning, the views from the condo of Meares Island and Clayoquot (a protected Unesco site) were breathtaking. Eagles flew over our patio every day. The comings and goings of fishing trawlers, excursion boats and float planes were better than watching t.v. And speaking of t.v., although there isn't one in this condo, you won't miss it at all. There is too much to do and see in Tofino to bother with t.v. I took our teenage daughter to Mermaid Tales, the amazing local bookstore, and she read the whole time we were there (when she wasn't surfing or shopping in one of the cute local shops). The condo itself was lovely and the photos almost don't do it justice. And yes, you can lay in bed and enjoy the view - a real treat. We love to cook, and the kitchen and barbecue exceeded what you find in most vacation rentals. The only hitch for us was that the wifi didn't work well but Tom is aware of that and I'm sure it will be rectified (as best it can, as Tofino in general does not have good wifi). This is the only reason I didn't give the property 5 stars. I would certainly recommend this vacation rental."

  • Great base camp to tour Victoria!

"Our Idaho British Car group spent 3 days at this beautiful house, and we enjoyed every moment there. The house was lovely, the neighbors very friendly and the accommodations very comfortable. It was nice to stay somewhere other than a motel room; we were able to visit and stretch out like we would not have been able in a motel. The close proximity to the bus route was a plus, as we took the bus to get downtown one day. Overall a very pleasant experience, and we would recommend this house to anyone looking for a more comfortable stay in Victoria!"
