  • Excellent place to stay in Cape Breton

"Glenville Cottage provided a warm, cozy sanctuary for us on our trip to Cape Breton. It is renovated beautifully, well-maintained and comfortable. While it is situated between Inverness and Mabou, both are close enough for the essentials (shopping, gas, restaurants),and very close to the start of the Cabot Trail. The hosts, Brenna and Brandon, were very accommodating and provided all sorts of useful information for us... All in all, a great property, one to which we would be happy to return! • Amazing views.

"Lot's of space. Arrived to a very clean home. Interesting architecture. Saw hawks every day with awesome sunsets. House was on top of a hill with amazing views. We would recommend to others. The beach is not fair away. Inverness golf course had two good restaurants. instructions to the area and details were very helpful."

  • Tumblesea vacation

"We stayed in TumbleSea the last week of September this year, and it was a wonderful experience. We spent a few days getting to Cape Breton and exploring Nova Scotia, from Yarmouth to Halifax to Chimney Corner. It was raining when we arrived, though as we walked through the path to the cottage, we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted by some local music on the ipod and a welcome note from Stewart. The cabin is open and bright with everything you need. The view from the sitting areas inside are perfect- all angles to see the water and Chimney Corner Beach. The cottage is cozy and clean, perfect for a couple. The wifi worked well to connect with the outside world (if you must). The cottage has a great bathroom, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. There were a few nights where we stood on the deck and enjoyed breathtaking skies with more stars than I’ve ever seen. We were able to take advantage of some of Stewart’s recommendations which were helpful, as well as the welcome booklet that had listings for food, entertainment and hiking. Highlights were… bald eagle sighting from the cottage, skyline hike in Cape Breton Highlands National Park where we saw 2 moose, hike at White Point (a must- ask Stewart about this), Cabot Trail ride, Dancing Goat Bakery, Inverness Beach, day trips to Mabou, Inverness, Broad Cove, Baddeck and Cheticamp. We highly recommend!"

  • Beautiful House on a Beautiful Piece of Land!

"We absolutely loved staying here! The house is peaceful and sits on a gorgeous piece of land (which the living room area shows off beautifully with big windows on 3 sides). Would happily stay here again, and have already recommended to friends :)"
