  • Perfect Spot to get away!

"This place was great. we had our friends and family over for a BBQ. The shoreline is nice and sandy. The amazing lake view with the sunset was so nice. The many bed were great for our guest to stay a night with us.the kids loved the game systems. The men like the boat, they went for a fish and explored a bit. We spent our wedding night here as well, At night it got chilly, so we lit a small fire in the fireplace and it was so cozy and romantic. There were cozy blankets to snuggle in. Wonderful added treat was a coffee tray with chocolate and fresh flowers. Overall, an amazing weekend, only downfall is that we wished we could have spent more time here!"

  • The interior of the home was welcoming and worked very well for our needs.

"The attic space was enjoyed immensely by two late teens. It was their private retreat. The main floor was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The laundry space was also appreciated. The outside of the house badly needs to be repainted. The surrounding front porch also needs work. The view from the deck is wonderful but some rungs of the deck are missing and making it unsafe for young children. Some chairs or a suitable table to go with the pub style chairs would also make the deck space more useable and enjoyable. We really enjoyed our time in this home."

  • Lovely old home rich with decor

"This lovely turn of the century home was the perfect setting for our "maritime" family reunion. There was ample room for all 13 of us including beds, bathrooms and sitting/living room space. The house has been beautifully refinished on the inside. No small task considering the size of the home. We would actually make wrong turns trying to find our way around the house. The house is walking distance to all amenities and the downtown core which offered many nice shops suitable for different ages (from crafts and clothing to comics and video games). I am only rating 4 out of 5 stars because, like all older homes, there was some (inevitable) wear and tear on the exterior of the building that made leisure time outside less enjoyable then the interior. Overall a wonderful experience...too bad it is so far away from the rest of Canada, otherwise we would come back sooner."

  • A slice of Heaven!!

"My two sisters and our husbands visited Nova Scotia in September. Our Grandparents were born and lived here, and as kids we spent many summers in NS. My husband found Roger's home on VRBO. This is an amazing place. We found so much serenity here. This house was immaculate and fully stocked. We loved sitting on the back porch watching and listening to the waves crash. The photo that is in Roger's ad for the property is beautiful, and we were hoping the home lived up to it, this property surpassed the photo!! Such a gorgeous place. The location was perfect for us because we spent most of our time in Yarmouth County. Our cousins came to visit and couldn't believe how beautiful this property is. (And they live on waterfront property)! We are so happy we were able to stay in this beautiful home!!!"
