  • Breathtaking Views!

"Perfect Sunshine is a beautiful villa, very tastefully furnished and well equipped in the lovely resort of Nonsuch Bay on the Atlantic side of Antigua. The most outstanding feature is its unique location which offers breathtaking views on both sides of the house, to the bay on the West and the inland fjord and mountains on the East. The sunsets over the fjord were truly stunning. All four bedrooms are a good size although we only used the Master Suite (as there were only 2 of us) which was excellent with a very comfortable 4-poster bed and a beautiful bathroom. The large pool, set on a terrace below the house, is a great size and has lovely views over the bay. The resort is gated and very safe with a good restaurant/bar and serviced beach and facilities for water sports. We had a wonderful week at Perfect Sunshine and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended!"

  • Beautiful Villa in a quiet and relaxing setting

"This villa was fantastic and was perfect for me to relax and rejuvenate in the sun. It was well kept, spacious and has amazing views of the sunset in the evening and the sea from the large balcony upstairs. The outside area with the superb sized pool (which was cleaned regular) was great to cool down in after the warm heat of the Caribbean sun and the property has many outside tables and chairs so you are spoilt for choice on where to eat your meals, read or soak up the sun etc. Lastly, the deal with the Veranda Hotel is an added bonus as you have access to all their facilities including a gym, crazy mini-golf and water activities. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone who asks as it will not disappoint you in anyway."

  • QUINTESSENTIAL HOSPITALITY AT BAMBOO COTTAGE, ANTIGUA

"Before selecting Bamboo Cottage in Antigua, I read as many reviews as I could to help in my decision. Everything I read about the Cottage and host, Joanne Lighthizer is true! The Cottage is well equipped, clean and efficient. The grounds are impeccable and lush with a gorgeous tropical landscape. When my son and I arrived, Joanne had prepared a lovely tray of healthy dip and veggies, locally grown from her yard. She even had the fridge stocked with juices, wine, beer and water. I've rented many holiday apartments and homes, but never had these types of amenities offered upon arrival. I loved the swimming pool, as it gave me the opportunity to swim short laps to work of all the roti and conch fritters, delicious local eats. Sharing the pool with renters of the Bamboo House was never a problem. They wanted to sunbathe in the morning; and I preferred a late afternoon swim. Joanne was very helpful and kind in giving us suggestions on where to eat and shop; she even took us around Falmouth Harbour on our first day, and included us in an excursion to a Christmas craft fair near Jolly Harbour. When my husband arrived from sailing from Gibraltar to Antigua, he was amazed at how comfortable Bamboo Cottage was! Our friends who also sailed to Antigua for the April Classic Regatta loved the layout and environment of the Cottage as well. As many others have commented, Joanne (who lives on the property in the larger Bamboo House), was respectful of her guests' privacy, yet helpful and responsive when assistance was needed. I highly recommend this property and will have lasting memories of our Christmas in Antigua because of Joanne's extraordinary hospitality during our stay. Her rental rates are fair, given the amenities and good nature of the host. She is an honest business person, and extends that trust to her guests as well. Joanne will even assist you with car rental if you need a recommendation. I had no driving experience on the other side of the road, having driven in America all my life. Joanne offered to sit with me on my first ride, but because Falmouth and English Harbors' traffic are not as busy as St. John's, I was able to drive on my own, with my son coaching as navigator and "co-pilot". No need to think twice about Bamboo Cottage! You get a lot of value for your money!! Joanne, you are the Quintessential Hostess of Antigua!! Mahalo for making our Christmas in Antigua so special!!! The Perrott Family"

  • Winter Sun 5 -22 March 2016

"It was our 50th wedding anniversary on 1 January and the English winter had been particularly wet , cold and horrible, so we decided that we need some sun to cheer us up. THIS IS THE PLACE, Choys apartment was the perfect home from home. The view from the balcony is the best view we have had from a holiday apartment in the whole of our married life. We will go back again! The local beach is the best in Antigua! Quiet and relaxed. White sand, turquoise sea, magnificent sailing and motors yachts. One bar Bumpkins at one end and a second Catherine's at the other. And if you want it a second private beach just around the corner. We swam every morning walked around the dockyard, most historic in Antigua and ate at some lovely restaurants every evening followed by a glass of wine on the balcony every night watching the ships gradually Light up after the sunset. And, what sunsets! Jean and I have NO reservations about recommending this apartment and location to anyone! WE SHALL BE BACK. thank you Choy for such a lovely holiday and for looking after us so well whilst we were there."
