  • Eleutheras best kept secret

"My husband and I recently visited the island of Eleuthera to celebrate our first year of marriage. The island is absolutely beautiful just about everywhere you go however nothing beat our backyard view from the seahorse cottage. Terry and Kimmie, the owners of the property and Eleuthera natives, were able to give their expert advice on the very best local restaurants an absolute "must sees". Every piece of advice they gave us was spot on. Atop a hill overlooking a beautiful lagoon and surrounded in the lush green landscape and native fruit trees, The property is sure to provide the perfect escape from reality. The personal connection and passion for the island Terry and Kimmie possess makes the island feel like home, something the larger hotels or resorts simply cannot offer we will definitely be back . We cannot wait to return and visit all of our favorite places again and stay with her newfound friends."

  • Great Location - Great people

"Found this property through VRBO on recommendation of our travel agent. Booking and payment easy. Staff provided clear instructions on property ahead of time so all was ready for us on arrival. The property turned out as we expected and as displayed on VRBO. Staff (Don) and owner (Ken) were extremely friendly and welcoming. Thursday evening reception was well attended by other residents and restaurant on site provided great food and service on Thursday through Saturday evenings. This is a clean, well maintained and well located property. Easy walking access to Coral Beach, close to Lucayan Resort and Market place (5 minute drive, or 30 minute walk along the wonderful beach). Property also has bikes that you can use in the daytime so another option for getting around Lucaya. We fully recommend this property and will use it again for future trips to Freeport. As others have said (and as the owners also say) a rental car is the way to go."

  • A Dream Vacation!

"My husband and I stayed at Turtle Dreams for a week in late March and just can't explain how magical this home and this island are! The home is simply beautiful with so much room to spread out and so many different levels to view amazing Coco Bay as well as the ocean view side! The peace and quite that we experienced there is something I will not forget - ever. I wanted to see the island and yet I found it hard to leave the house! The beauty of the island can't be explained - you must see it to fully feel it and understand how special it is. We walked the path (so close!) to Coco Bay on one day the the ocean path (just as close) the next - both breath-taking beaches. We are from Florida and have been to almost every beautiful beach in the state so we know a gem when we wee one! We were coming back one night from Harvey's (heavenly Grouper sandwiches) and the full moon had just started to rise over the ocean - beauty beyond words. We stopped and sat in the cart for about thirty minutes knowing that it would be a long time before we ever saw anything like this again- ever! The island feels so safe and we never worried about anything the entire time we were there. The people are so sweet and helpful - wonderful!!! We loved the cart rides on the sandy roads - so much fun! I fell in love with my roosters - smiled every morning when I hear them. Mary Lowe is an absolute darling and made us feel totally at home and got us all set up - wonderful gal. We fished with Ricky Sawyer and caught Bonefish - had an absolute blast and Ricky is just the coolest guy you could want to meet. I can't imagine how our week could have been any better. The house was so much more than we expected and so is the island. The final few days (when we thought we had seen everything) we made it over to Gilium Bay to do some snorkeling - the most beautiful water I have ever seen in my life! Anyway, can you tell we are going back!!!??? Don't miss this one - opportunity of a lifetime. When you return home to your routine you will find that you have a much clearer picture if what life is supposed to be and you can make some adjustments. Ha!!!"

  • More than expected

"We booked while onsite on Eleuthera, we were into the cottage within minutes of finding it online. The owner Dave and his caretaker Johnson are incredible! This cottage is outfitted with high quality fixins, the beds, linens, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and frying pans, even the knives were great. Often some rentals throw in junk, but not the case here. Couches comfy for curling up and reading a book or if you must, and I admit we did.....turn on the T.V. High speed internet and WiFi were good. There was also a local cel phone available for our use too. Rainbow is a great location and this cottage is a gem. The Atlantic breezes were wonderful, we did not turn on the air conditioning in our bedroom....didn't even consider it. The extras of the snorkle gear, beach things and the extras in the house were very helpful. We loved the area. And founds some nice eats in J.C too...local foods. We had stayed closer to governerners Harbour in the past but not next time, we will be back to Indigo Seas.... Thanks Dave for saving our vacation!!!!"
