"Great family vacation spot. Great kitchen with everything one could need. Michelle is an excellent host. Three generations including two toddlers had a fine time. We enjoyed exploring different beaches each day. Lots of sand castles."

  • Beautiful Property-Perfect Location

"Coconut Point was a wonderful property to enjoy our first trip to Eleuthera. Coconut Point is centrally located which makes exploring the long island of Eleuthera very easy as it's an hour to each end of the island from the house. We flew into North Eleuthera airport which was about a 55min drive. Governor's Harbor airport is only about 15-20min from Coconut Point. We were immediately impressed with the grand staircase entry, magnificent ocean views and high ceilings. Just steps away from the deck is a nearly deserted beach that stretches for a couple of miles. Immediately in from of Coconut Point is kind of rocky but just a few yards to the south was a perfect spot for our kids (7,11,14) to swim and snorkel. They also enjoyed playing in the tide pools. There was a constant breeze which kept house very cool and comfortable. I don't think we needed to turn on the air more than a couple of times. A note of advice, when the breeze does disappear the sand flies (noseeums) show up. Save yourself some itching and use bugspray. My wife and youngest really got eaten-we wish we had heeded Karen's instructions on this. Bring bug spray and afterbite. John the caretaker was very helpful and checked up on us during the week as well has made himself available via cell/text. We really enjoyed our time at Coconut Point. It's quiet and kind of secluded (just what we look for in our Bahamian vacations) yet modern and extremely clean. There are plenty of linens as well as life jackets, snorkel gear, and kayaks (never got to use them). Although the Double Bay Beach was great we got to see several of the other nearby beaches as well as explore the abandoned Navy base and Club Med. Governor's Harbor is 15 minutes away where there is grocery shopping, restaurants, and gift shops. Rock Sound Market, 45min south, had the best grocery selection. We're trying to experience as many of the Bahamian out islands as we can but when we make it back to Eluethera we would certainly stay at Coconut Point again. Thanks for the great time!"

  • Private relaxing vacation!

"The house is maintained very well and well equipped. Maria is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Mercy the care taker is helpful and knowledgeable. The view and privacy of the home is truly amazing. The beaches on the island are gorgeous and deserted! Don't go to Eleuthera if you like resorts, casinos and nightlife. Go if you like privacy, nature and relaxing!"
