  • Just stunning, the perfect getaway

"Beautifully maintained, fabulous facilities, spacious with stunning views and sound of the Sea. A few steps for morning swim, and on the quieter side of the island but within easy reach of supplies and facilities. Couldn't rate it more highly."

  • Relaxation...home from home...ideal for families

"Lazybones was a perfect place to stay to experience beautiful Barbados! We loved the fact that we were in amongst the locals, giving us an opportunity to see everyday life in Barabdos. We hired a car for our two week stay and it was definately needed. Whilst there are regular buses having a car with young children was perfect way for us to see the island at our own pace. Lazybones itself is a lovely villa perfect for a family or couples. The pool is an ideal size and was regularly cleaned for us. Eric next door provided us with lots of local knowledge and places to see and things to do. Sheila, housekeeper, was also extremely friendly and helpful for us. Two weeks at lazybones was not enough time for us and none of us were ready to leave. Fiona ensures that the villa has everything that you could need. Days spent at the villa included lounging about in the hammocks,. Watching the monkeys play in the late evening sun or just soaking up the sun with a lovely sea breeze to help cool us off! Most places were within a 20/30 minute drive and the highway is an experience within itself!! The visitor book in lazybones provides you with lots of ideas for places to go and see and restaraunts to eat out at. We could not fault our stay at Lazybones and the communication that we had between Fiona prior to and after our stay. If you are looking for two weeks of blissful relaxing sunshine then this is a place not to be ignored! We hope to return in the future. Thank you Fiona for allowing us to experience Lazybones....we had a fab time!!"

  • My Happy Place

"This was our 2nd time staying at the Crane both times booking thru Alberto. We stayed for nearly 2 weeks in 2015 and for 1 week in 2016. As mentioned in other reviews, the pictures are spot on...actually the pictures cannot convey the peacefulness, natural beauty, and tranquility of this place. There are many different room styles throughout this resort but Alberto's condo is located in the prefect spot. It has the most amazing view of Crane Beach and the winds that breeze thru the condo are simply unforgettable. I would say that the reason we love the Crane so much is really because of Alberto. He is like having awesome big brother who is truly invested in making sure everything goes smoothly. He is a kind and genuine man that I must meet personally someday. I can't imagine booking any other way. The only issue we had was with our last stay but it was in no way Alberto's fault. The week we stayed one of the pools was closed for maintenance. There were plenty of other pools to swim in but the problem was it was the pool that was located in one of the historic buildings where we really enjoyed relaxing. We went during the slow season so I can understand scheduled maintenance, it's just that I felt the Crane should have been upfront about their scheduled maintenance so that guests could plan their vacation accordingly. If I could emphasis anything about this review, it would be.....trust Alberto. Ask him questions....he is so very honest."

  • Idyllic

"Peace of Sea Villa delivers exactly what you expect from the photos. It will not disappoint with its truly spectacular views and proximity to the ocean. Highly recommended!! We spent 19 days there over the festive season. The villa is new, clean and bright. It is decorated beautifully and fully equipped with all amenities. In addition a housekeeper came every week to change the bedding and do general cleaning. The highlight though is its situation and the indescribably beautiful views. The whole front of the house opens to the sea, so even when you are indoors you feel like you are outside. Sitting on the upstairs balcony early in the morning and late in the afternoon is heavenly. The area is residential, so mostly quiet. Being the festive season there was some activity in the surrounding homes, but nothing that was noisy or intrusive. It is preferable to have a car if you want to get around, although the bus stop is within walking distance if you prefer. Some reviews have commented on the noise from departing aeroplanes. For our aviation-mad family this was actually a big plus, and one reason to chose this particular property! My husband and son had flight-radar 24 apps on their devices and spent as much time as possible spotting planes. I would stress that there was no actual disturbance to us. The numbers of flights are few and concentrated at particular times of the day. Phillip was extremely helpful throughout the booking process, answering questions in advance of our stay, and even calling the villa while we were there to check that we were settling in ok. He asked his property manager David to pick us up from the airport. Given that we were very tired after 2 days of travelling it was a most welcome gesture. He offered to stop by the grocery store for supplies as well. David was always available for small issues such as light bulbs that needed changing, and he arranged for someone to fix the freezer when it stopped working. He also came intermittently to check and clean the pool during our stay. We had a fantastic few weeks, felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated by the end, so much so that we are looking for our own piece of paradise just along the road! My only small suggestion would be that the lovely pool perhaps may need heated in winter. It was manageable for a quick swim but it was not warm enough to be lazing around in the water. The constant sea breezes that are usually so welcome may be just a bit too effective cooling the water!"
