  • Great time in paradise!

"We live on Grand Cayman and wanted a place to celebrate my Mother's Birthday weekend. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax on a private beach this is it. The accommodations are clean and you are provided with everything needed including a blender for Mudslides! The sea was too rough to snorkel and use the kayaks but we enjoyed the pool instead. Over all a great place but don't expect anything flashy, it is an older building but has charm. Thank you to the property manager Jeffery, and Sara for making it easy to book. We would go back."

  • Relaxing with a view.

"We were met at Kirkconnell airport by the car rental people as well as Bonnie and her husband Gene. We followed them to Carib Sands and they showed us to their unit. We were pleasantly surprised because of the size, amenities and view we had from the balcony. Bonnie explained many different things about the Island and had a shore diving guide for our use. She was very helpful in telling us about the many things that we could do on the Island. She had us meet her friend and fellow conservationist to help dig up a turtle nest to count the eggs of those that hatched and to count those that didn't hatch. It was very interesting. She also told us about the free Island tour we could take. It was very informative and we did tip the young men that took us around. They were very proud of the Island. The condo is on the west end so it was near the airport, dive shops (Brac Scuba Shack and Reef Divers), food markets and several restaurants. I would highly recommend this condo not only because of the price, location and amenities, but because of Bonnie Scott and helpfulness with anything we asked. A very pleasant stay. Thank you Bonnie."

  • Better than the photos

"First of all, kudos to Henry for a wealth of information about the property and Cayman Brac. Upon booking we received detailed information to help us prepare for our trip. Even though Brac is part of a British Colony, things do operate differently than the US. We traveled with three adult couples and this is a perfect spot for this many adults. The house was great with three nice bedrooms, a great sized living room, wonderful screened in porch, adjacent pool and pergola. Plenty of room to congregate but plenty of room for "private space." The kitchen is large and well equipped and has lots of spices for the home cook. We cooked brunch for the group and each night had a pitcher of tropical drinks and appetizers on the screened in porch and watched the sunset. The island is very quiet and slow paced and the house is extremely private. Although there is a condo unit next door, we saw very few people. The lagoon in front of the house is a great place to kayak (provided by Henry) and a good place to snorkel. It is a extremely scenic property with good views everywhere. An extra touch - the palm trees are wrapped with LED lights (solar) and a sundown they automatically light up - gorgeous. Sasha was a delight. She met us at the airport and drove us to the house (we rented a car - RECOMMENDED), cooked for us (don't leave without eating her conch fritters), advised us on restaurants and was available via house phone at anytime. Be advised that food is expensive but we never had a bad meal. Beer and pizza at the Buccaneer is a must and the BBQ at the Brac Reef Dive Resort on Friday night was a great way to close out our week. The Brac residents were always friendly and kind. The snorkeling at the end K. W. Tibbets Road on the north side is not to be missed. We also took an island tour. We drove up the North road through the communities, visited the Cayman Brac Museum, learned some local history, visited the lighthouse and the Parrot Preserve. We cut across and came back the South Road and drove to the end of the island. Very interesting. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, restful, private house to rent."

  • Quiet little place for two

"Minnie was amazing, and so is her little cottage. We stayed for 6 days on our honeymoon and could not have dreamed of more privacy. The nature! The size of the beach! The lounging options! Minnie has her beach set up for the relaxation of your choice. Hammocks! Lounge chairs, And a giant round rattan thing that became my personal favorite. The island is full of great adventure and great people. So welcoming, friendly! We found everything we needed. Most days we were hiking and caving and discovering new water holes and beaches. But nothing beat the mid afternoon nap in the cabana on the beach in the shade and the breeze..... The water was a bit rough when we were there, so getting into the water at the property wasn't easy. We had a couple of run ins with the sea urchins even with our water shoes. They are plentiful but easy to spot and easy to avoid in calmer waters. But we found other places on the island for water time, too. And no where on the island is far from you. The private hot tub on the deck was perfect at night, watching the stars. The small cottage has sooo much space and is fully stocked! I loved the two floor layout with the bedroom taking up the second floor. It is large, open, with vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan, and lots of windows! The bedroom cooled down quickly at night. We felt instantly at home and enjoyed our time. The property is gorgeous. We commented after touring the island how Feathertone was not only the prettiest we've seen, but one of the largest most private ocean fronts, and so well maintained. Cayman Brac is very much an adventurer's island. We are not much into diving or snorkeling. But we had a great time! Plenty to do, see, enjoy. Thank you, Minnie, for opening your property up to us!"
