  • Spectacular views, relaxing escape

"We had a wonderful stay at Cas Solo Seru. It's in a gated community close to Cas Abao beach. Listing is as pictured, clean, new, & modern. It's atop a small hill which affords it privacy and views from all rooms. Run by a management company - getting in touch with Don via email for booking was fast. Property manager Brigitte was easy to get a hold of (complimentary landline provided for local calls). Wifi worked well. Cell reception spotty. Not suitable for young children as the deck & pool edges are not child friendly. We stayed as a party of 4 but for a nominal fee you can also gain access to the lower studio (entrance is from the outside and you need to walk down a gravelly slope). Main floor bedrooms are laid out in railroad style with masterbath in between. Furthest bedroom guests can get to common room via deck door if you don't want to walk through the 1st bedroom. No blinds for windows. We really enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds in the morning, catching sunrise from the kitchen, sunsets from the deck, maximizing outdoor living (deck has plenty of furniture to spread out on/ dine on, grill for BBQing), swimming in the pool, & using the juicer and blender for happy hour! There is no AC but we didn't miss it one bit due to the winds that frequently blow through the house. If mosquito prone watch out during sunrise/sunset & bring repellent, make use of screened windows & fans at night (wind is a natural mosquito deterrent). We explored and snorkeled at many of the beautiful beaches (maps.me app is great for navigating the island offline). Portable beach chairs, cooler, and portable grill in laundry room. An info packet is provided upon booking that is quite comprehensive. Washer / dryer however not vented - would recommend using the laundry rack to dry clothes on the deck. As this is a relatively new property we feel it would benefit from an in house binder (general info on appliances/ idiosyncrasies of the house/ FAQ), more kitchen cookery (more dinner plates, serving platters, a taller pot, knife sharpener, extra cutting board, cooking tongs), extra paper towel & dish soap as it was running low, and faster drainage on the main floor shower and outdoor shower. Internet TV has limited selection, would recommend bringing some DVDs to watch or an AV adapter for apple device if you want to stream off it. Had an amazing relaxing time in this house with the million dollar views. Highly recommend & would return again!"

  • A totally relaxing and peaceful vacation

"The owners of our unit, Andrea and Chris Waite, were very quick to respond with any questions that we had prior to arrival and gave us complete and helpful information that made it easy to get here and feel comfortable quickly. If you want an extremely relaxing and safe environment, this is it. The property has amazing ocean views, a beautiful pool and clean, well maintained grounds. The 8b unit we were in is great! Kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining area, living room area with satellite tv downstairs and walk-out to patio right on the 'beach' (it's actually gravel like sand that ends at a sea wall. King size very comfy bed, bathroom with shower and walk-out to terrace upstairs. Air conditioning and fans are on both floors. Although it's nice that there are beach chairs and water shoes to use, they have seen better days. There are also flippers and snorkel equipment available. It is quite a drive to get groceries, but hey, it's not like you don't have time, right?! You need a car here. There is a fairly good restaurant right next door and some better ones within a close drive. Trio Penotti is interesting and good. Bring bug repellent!!! I got eaten alive by the no- seeums however, not sure the repellent really helps. Just one of those things. My husband was fine and I suffered terribly! If you want 'nightlife' or a party atmosphere, this is not what you want. Very quiet throughout the day and night, which is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely return! • Just as described, just better than expected!

"Our Flight was delayed and with 6 months advanced reservation for our rental car. They had no cars only a bus with a stick. What looked like a bad start of a vacation, as soon as our bus pulled into the driveway Ivy the neighbor caretaker meet us. What great service!! We stayed 13 nights in Scott’s home. As stated by others Scott is great to deal with. This has an Amazing beautiful location. A real snorkeling paradise. Just walk in and you do not need to swim out far to see great sea life. Every night Amazing Sunsets right off the porches. What makes the location good is you do not have a lot of traffic and can visit the Amazing nearby parks and restaurants. Great pool and most of the time you can will have it all for yourself. The Wi-Fi worked great so you can keep up with the news and friends. We never used the Air conditioners on both floors. The Breeze and paddle fans were sufficient. We would definitely go back."

  • Very spacious modern house at wonderful location near beach and supermarket.

"This house is divided into two 2-bedroom units, each with very large kitchen, living room & patio. Each bedroom has a full bath and there is a hall bath. The house is very modern, spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything we need including a Senseo coffee maker, which I used daily. The cable-TV box was standard-def only, and the old Sanyo 32" flat panel TV could use an upgrade to 46" or 55" to match the overall excellence of the rest of this vacation home. Although I suspect most visitors don't watch much TV while in Curaçao. In the garden there was a comfy gazebo with a hammock and couch. The pool was very refreshing and great for our kids. During part of our stay, there was another family in the upstairs unit, which was nice to exchange experiences and get to know other folks. The internet was wireless, with great speed and reliability. The location of this house is very close to the van den Tweel supermarket (like Albert Heijn) so fresh bread in the morning takes only a 3-minute walk. The house has an easy-to-use alarm system and an electric gate so your rental car is safely parked overnight. The electricity allowance of 20 kWh per day was enough for us to keep both bedrooms air-conditioned at night, so we never had to forego comfort. There are separate electric meters for each of the units. Service of the property manager was very prompt, to deal with broken light bulbs etc. This vacation rental is an excellent value for money. Many thanks! We hope to come back again!"
