  • All you could want

"This review concerns the property on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands that we rented for the last two weeks in January of 2017. This condominium was unit 205C (known as Island Dreams) in the Colony Cove Condominiums just to the west of Christiansted on the north side of the island. It is on the second floor of building C and has a view of ocean, the grounds, and the pool. For information purposes Building D is the closest to the beach and has the best unobstructed view. Building A is the farthest from the beach. There are 54 total units in this development. The property is very secure. There is a coded gate entry to the parking area and coded gate to the beach. There is an around-the-clock security guard on the grounds. All the personnel associated with the operation of the condo complex were very friendly and helpful. I needed extra assistance with a plane flight and I went to the office where I could use their desktop computer and printer. The office manager, Evelyn, took care of everything for me. The grounds and the beach are well maintained. Chairs and tables are provided in the pool area. Lounge chairs are provided on the beach. There are several gas bar-b-que grills for guest to use. There are two nearby restaurants on the beach. The the one to the west is the Golden Rail and it’s food is fair but drinks and live entertainment are always available. The restaurant to the east is Breezez and it is one of our favorite places on the island. We think it has the best steaks on the island. There is plenty of sandy beach to play on. Remember, you have the use of the entire beach and there is a wider beach just next door at the Sugar Beach condominiums. Snorkeling off the beach is good for St. Croix because of the man made reef just a few yards off the shore. In general you won’t find the colorful marine/reef life anywhere on St. Croix that you see elsewhere (Belize, St. John, Great Barrier Reef, etc.) but it is still interesting to snorkel. We arranged for our condominium rental through Champagne Vacation Rentals. In our opinion they run a “first class” operation. They were responsive during the initial rental process. They answered all our questions promptly. There were no surprises during our stay in St Croix. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered that we would be met at the airport by their representative, Emily. She made sure everything went smoothly…from the collection of our baggage, the rental of our Budget Jeep, and the delivery"

  • Wow! What a view!

"We had a great week in Schooner Bay! The view was to die for and we had breakfast every day on the beautiful balcony. The condo was just as pictured and the proximity to the pool was a definite plus. Mike was very helpful and the pick up from and return to the airport was a welcomed perk! We did not rent a car so the walk back up the hill every day was a challenge... but good exercise. 🙂 We enjoyed the Sweeney Safari trip which got us around the island for some sightseeing. Also took Captain Mike's Jolly Roger catamaran sunset cruise with rum punch!!! Beautiful way to end the day. No Bones for dinner was a hit too. The reason I did not give this five stars was we had problems with the master shower and took cold showers for several days, but I'm sure that is fixed by now! Thanks, Paul and Rachelle, and Mike, for our beautiful St. Croix experience."

  • A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER FOR A LONG TIME

"A property with stunning views all around, specious and as it shows in the pictures in a very safe and quiet area. Swimming pool is big and rarely find such size in a private house. the house is well equipped with every thing you might ask for Pool was a bit dirty and the filter was not working and being a Sunday when we checked in, we had to leave a message for the property management whom were off but next morning at 7 A.M some one was working on the pool and it was ready at no time and it was a fast action which I appreciated from the owners and management company and we did not face any other issues what so ever other than that. The house could use some fixing (lights, showers) but it was not a problem to us at all. Would I do it again: The answer is defiantly YES. Would I recommend this property: The answer is defiantly YES"

  • Perfect. Clean. Hassle Free.

"Sugar Beach did the trick, after a busy winter up north. SB staff made it easy, and the condo is nicely updated with everything new and as advertised. The three flat screens never got turned on. Great base camp for exploring the island."
