  • Peaceful and Beautiful Location on St. John's Quieter East Side!

"We enjoyed our stay at the Little Lagoon! We especially liked being away from the busier west side of the island - it feels very secluded and is a quiet location away from roads. My husband and I and our 4 young children fit well here - the apartment was the perfect size for us (Little Lagoon - South) and has a nice kitchen that allowed us to prepare daily meals for our family. Our kids enjoyed the swings out front and walking down to the water. Ernest and Donna and their family were very welcoming and were always available to answer any questions we had about the apartment or places to snorkel/play on the beach. We would recommend the Little Lagoon to anyone!"

  • Peaceful, serene getaway

"My husband and I vacationed at Lagoon Point for one amazing week in July with two very dear relatives. The hilly location was lovely; the 180-degree view from the balcony was incredible--watching the sunrises and sunsets over Coral Bay with the island of Tortola in the distance was divine. There is no AC in the dwelling, but there are constant, cooling Tradewinds, so it is not a necessity. With the screened windows and sliding glass doors kept open (and ceiling fans running if desired), we were always comfortable. One thing we found quaint, charming and unique was the screened-in indoor/outdoor shower attached to the restroom. Loved it! The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware -- next time we visit, however, we will bring a pot scraper/spatula, as that was missing. We ate all our meals at home--brought a fair portion of the non-fresh food with us, as we knew food in the islands is 2-2.5 X the price we'd pay stateside. There is plenty to do on the island; we rented a vehicle on St John and enjoyed exploring. There are numerous snorkeling destinations; recommend either bringing your own gear or renting from Crabby's, about a mile from the house. There are a few sets of fins and a leaky mask/snorkel in one of the closets--and several beach chairs if you want to use them! It was not really the season to hike (warm during the day), but there are a lot of hiking trails to enjoy if your visit is in the fall/winter/spring seasons. In summary, our stay was fantastic--the home was perfect for us, and we look forward to another vacation stay at Lagoon Point!"

  • Peaceful Hansen Bay Retreat

"We have rented Camercon Cove for many years now, and would never consider another place. While not ostentatious in design or furnishings, the house works well and is comfortable, and for peace and quiet, and water access, you cannot beat the location. Life happens on the deck breakfast thru dinner and on into sunset and starscape, or on the beach. Not as sandy as the north shore beaches, but a very short walk, and the 1/4 mile beach is shared by only 5 properties, one still only an empty lot. Right next to Sloop Jones on the map, and walkable close to other uncrowded East End beaches. A regular parade of sail and power boats and kayaks anchor below the house: you can pay about $75 an person to hire a boat in Coral Bay for a "secluded snorkel" trip and they will bring you here to Pelican Rocks, which you can easily swim to from our beach. You need a bit of sang froid to drive the hills of the National Park from Coral Bay-- centerline road from Cruz Bay is just a warm up--but Coral Bay has all you need, and now has several quite fine places to eat. If you snorkel over the turtle grass toward Long Point in late afternoon, you have a good chace of seeing a Spotted Eagle Ray cruising under you, the single most graceful moving creature in the sea ( and air for that matter)."

  • Our most peaceful visit to the island

"Our 4th visit to St John and our most peaceful visit yet. We stayed in the studio and loved it! Both Russ and Liz were great! A very hard working couple that were always available if we needed them but we never felt they were intruding. As mentioned in other reviews the cottage has everything that you would need. During our stay Russ completed an upgrade to the water storage and supply for the studio ,which worked wonderfully.Although remote, the cottage is a short walk to the bus stop which stops at Salt Pond Bay and then heads back to Cruz Bay. The buses seem more reliable than in past years, and the price is only $1/per person. If you like to hike ,the cottage is close to several of the most popular trails. Beaches are nearby and Coral Bay has plenty of good choices for dining. We found the cottage to be perfect !! We are planning a trip for next year and hopefully will stay at the cottage/studio again."
