  • Peaceful, serene getaway

"My husband and I vacationed at Lagoon Point for one amazing week in July with two very dear relatives. The hilly location was lovely; the 180-degree view from the balcony was incredible--watching the sunrises and sunsets over Coral Bay with the island of Tortola in the distance was divine. There is no AC in the dwelling, but there are constant, cooling Tradewinds, so it is not a necessity. With the screened windows and sliding glass doors kept open (and ceiling fans running if desired), we were always comfortable. One thing we found quaint, charming and unique was the screened-in indoor/outdoor shower attached to the restroom. Loved it! The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware -- next time we visit, however, we will bring a pot scraper/spatula, as that was missing. We ate all our meals at home--brought a fair portion of the non-fresh food with us, as we knew food in the islands is 2-2.5 X the price we'd pay stateside. There is plenty to do on the island; we rented a vehicle on St John and enjoyed exploring. There are numerous snorkeling destinations; recommend either bringing your own gear or renting from Crabby's, about a mile from the house. There are a few sets of fins and a leaky mask/snorkel in one of the closets--and several beach chairs if you want to use them! It was not really the season to hike (warm during the day), but there are a lot of hiking trails to enjoy if your visit is in the fall/winter/spring seasons. In summary, our stay was fantastic--the home was perfect for us, and we look forward to another vacation stay at Lagoon Point!"

  • Amazing view on the water

"We just got back from Ocean Palm. I highly recommend working with St John Ultimate Villas. The staff there was so amazing to work with. Response time was immediate and answered all of my questions promptly and accurately. I was not disappointed in the customer service. This property is bank owned and does show some wear. However, do not hesitate to stay. Some appliances need work, some things are rusty. The rooms are fabulous - huge and nicely decorated. A/C works in all areas. Huge grill a plus. The view is like none other. Right on the water. You can listen to the waves 24/7. It is a coral beach so you can't lie out on it but you don't need to Salt Pond is 2 minutes away and Trunk/Cinnamon/Maho a 15 minute drive. plenty of pots/pans/dishes/containers in the kitchen for cooking - everything you need. plenty of towels for beach and every day use. some inner tubes and we left behind a raft. Just be careful of the outdoor chairs. The salt air rusted some of the legs on a few chairs but there are so many chairs you can just put those aside and still have plenty to spare. Everyone will have enough privacy as they want. plenty of room for everyone. You will absolutely enjoy your stay here."

  • A Memorable 50th Anniversary Celebration at Villa Agel

"We were fortunate to be able to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren at Villa Agel. There was enough space for everyone to have their private times as well as large spaces for all to congregate. The home has a very "Old Island feel". All of the sections are beautiful and immaculate, with a spectacular view of the East end and Tortola. The pool is spacious on a lovely patio, and is well maintained. Most important, the driving access to the Villa is very easy. We've stayed in many different Villa's on STJ over the last 27 years and this is on the top of our list. Diane and Fitz are wonderful hosts, being very attentive to our needs , making sure we had enough linens, towels, beach chairs, etc for our large group. Other than it's people, the beaches are the most part of STJ. Go to as many different ones as possible. They are all beautiful and everyone has a favorite .As far as snorkeling, following the Sea Turtles on Maho is fun, but the most exquisite spot is Waterlemon Cay. Also, make sure you take the walk out to Drunk Bay from Salt Bay. You'll be rewarded at the end. Our favorite restaurant on this trip was Sweet Plantains and the "take out" pizza from Indigo Grille was first rate. Many thanks to Diane and Fitz for the opportunity for a memorable vacation, The Prices"

  • Perfect and Picturesque Getaway

"Our stay at Lameshur Cottages was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our two teenage daughters. We have stayed in many beautiful resorts but were really looking for something "off the beaten path" and much more laid-back. Although this type of vacationing may not be for everyone, we absolutely loved the very peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views of the mountain that we woke up to every morning. The cottage was adorable and really had everything that we needed and we love that the owners provide everything you need for the beach, including beach towels, chairs, snorkeling gear etc. We do like to kayak but we didn't happen to use the kayak on this trip but will definitely use it the next time back : ) We were very glad that we rented a car because we were able to see so many things all around the island that we wouldn't have if we took public transportation. We did go into Cruz Bay a few times because, of course having teenagers with us, they like a little more "hustle and bustle" but it was so nice to come back to the peaceful cottage. Liz, the owner gave us some very helpful advice on places to go and see. We really enjoyed the local live music at the restaurants in the Coral Bay Area. Aqua Bistro Restaurant was one of our favorites. Liz also suggested Monday open mic night at Café Concordia and that was our favorite evening (great food, atmosphere and such talented musicians)! Thank you again Liz (and Russ...even though we didn't get to meet him in person)"
