"For starters the condo was exactly what was stated and expected! We stayed at the unit in the D building on the second floor. And I agree with a prior review 2nd floor was wonderful and a better view for sure. Let me tell you what a beautiful view we looked at each and every day, especially waking to that each morning! All you can say is WOW!!! Leave the drapes open - a sunrise to die for. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation then look no further! Jeff was a delight to work with from start to finish. Upon arrival we got the rental car - we did upgrade to a Jeep which we are very glad we did! Not necessary by any means just our preference. I would recommend just stopping by the grocery store(Tutu's) on the way to the unit and then you are set to hit the beach. Which is literally out your back door!!! Also, the beach bar is all you really need for lunch. They have sandwiches, burgers etc. and a full service bar with a beach server. Ok, folks what more do you need! There are many restaurants in Red Hook or in the town of Amelia that are sure to please! We found many... Top of the list are: Sunset Grille (RH), Hook, Line and Sinker(Amelia) and Fish tails(RH). We did make a trip over to St. John for a bit of shopping and to see Trunk Bay - but I will without a doubt say the beach at Sapphire is the best! To me the view is better than Trunk but that's just our opinion! And lastly, we met some really wonderful people on the island! We will without a doubt be back and would definitely rent from Jeff and Kelli again! Many thanks!!!!"

  • This condo was perfect for our island getaway!

"First - wow. The location of this condo couldn't be better. We were immediately taken with the jaw-dropping views from the two balconies. As stated, this unit is in Building "E" at the resort, which offers the best views of St. John and all the beautiful turquoise water between St. Thomas and St. John. Only the 3rd floor units (like this one) are bi-level and have two balconies, and Building E has it's own little beach - most of it rocky, but there is a 50' or so stretch of sand. It's a very short walk to Sapphire Beach proper, behind Buildings A-D, and what a beautiful beach it is. So the unit gets a big, fat A+ for location. As I mentioned, it is on the 3rd floor, so you will need to lug your suitcases up a few flights of steps, and the Master bedroom is on the 4th level, so more stairs. But only once coming and going so it's over with quick. Inside, the decor is very tasteful and beachy. But the true life of this condo is lived on those glorious balconies, where we enjoyed morning coffee, and every meal that we didn't go out for. Every day we watched the graceful pelicans gliding by our balconies as they floated over the water 50' away and nose-dived for fishy snacks. It was so cool watching them!! Getting there: We took Peter's recommendation and had Miss Brown's service meet us at the airport and take us to Food Center before going to the condo, for a total of $70. It was nice but a regular taxi will take 2 people with bags to the condo for $30, which I advise doing before going grocery shopping. The reason is that you can take stock of what's already in the pantry and fridge before you buy things like coffee, condiments, etc. There's a fair amount of stuff already there. We bought coffee and filters for instance and there was already plenty in the pantry. Also, there is a pretty good liquor collection there already, so again, take stock before you buy. I left well over half a bottle of Johnny Walker Black for someone to appreciate later on. Having this wonderful dwelling to return to after the beach or any other excursions was magical. It is very convenient to get to the St. John ferry in Red Hook - a $4 ride per person. Taxis are very easy to get, but if you plan a lot of trips to Charlotte Amalie or the North shore, you might want to consider renting a car. The taxis do add up. We are already looking ahead to the next time we will have an opportunity to vacation in St. Thomas, and hope Peter and Beverly will have us back!"

  • Beautiful condo. Great location.

"This is a beautiful newly renovated 1st floor condo at Saphire Beach. This is one of the best beaches is St Thomas. Very close to Red Hook and many restaurants. The owners are very accommodating. The property is very clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back to this condo on our future trips to St Thomas."

  • A Million Dollar View!

"Really enjoyed our two weeks in Paradise. Sapphire Beach is truly spectacular and we spent 10 days on the beach enjoying the pretty water and views. We enjoyed the use of the Lexus SUV and drove to Megan's Bay Beach several times as well as many restaurants. When we arrived to the condo, it was immaculately cleaned. I would suggest bringing, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, bug spray and sunscreen, hand wash detergent for bathing suits, etc. I would also suggest bringing snacks, such as nust, granola and power bars, chocolate, coffee and tea, etc. The local grocery store is stocked, but expensive. Parking in Red Hook is tricky, you can park and pay in a lot up above Moe's Fresh Market for about $10/2 hours. You can park in the lot by Duffy's if you are going to Duffy's. You can park by Island Pizza, but tricky to find a spot at night. Not so tricky in the morning. We are early risers, so we would get our beach chairs around 7:30AM and pick a prime spot under trees near the volley ball net. There is a wade in area of sand and it is close to your condo, yet still private. The swimming pool area is not so impressive, and I cannot believe people would be there when the beautiful swimming beach is 50 yards away. Just watching the turquoise water and hearing waves was a dream. I do like the location of the condo, because it is more quiet, and breezy and very close to water. I would suggest that you go to Megan's Bay Beach before 8AM to avoid paying and park way on the left for another choice. It is a great beach to walk, about a mile round trip and also a wonderful beach to soak in the water for hours. There is no coral. We spent a lot of time on the covered porch, (you need bug spray - no see-ums) and appreciated the fact that you could go in the back way, and not have to go upstairs. The morning sunrise is beautiful to enjoy coffee on the porch. In two weeks we loved these restaurants: Off the Grid & SOS Coffee and Bar. Both have excellent food that is not so expensive. Went many times. Loved Duffy's Bar for the unusual parking lot area and great drinks. Favorite pricey restaurant is Pesce's Italian Restaurant in Red Hook. The food was fabulous and they also have a happy hour at the bar at 5PM for good deal appetizers. Went to Oceana - great view, food pricey but worth the trip. The Tap & Still is great for burgers and best fries -- like 5 Guys."
