  • Lucky Find!

"The house is incredible. It was a unforgettable experience and I will definitely be back. The house is rustic and beautiful and situated right at the edge of the national forest with great views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake. I felt very lucky to have found it. You could see and hear monkeys from the house. Everything we did was within an arms reach of each other, zip-lines, horseback riding, trails, volcanoes, waterfalls, hot springs, swimming, atv etc. No reason to get caught up in La Fortuna itself which is much more touristy. We only took one trip into the town for some shopping. In fact Allan was a great host and without him we would have missed out on a lot of the local experiences and culture. He brought us to some hidden gems and has plethora of invaluable information on the area and activities. He gave us privacy but also gave us a lot of information. The breakfast and dinners were amazing. The local food is always fresh and the fruit ripe and delicious. The chef came up with a bunch of interesting meals and delicious deserts every day."

  • Costa Rica Gem

"Finca Flor Mar is a beautiful property; our party consisted of 5 adults (first time visitors to CR) and we were all quite comfortable in this home. Plenty of space and gorgeous views from the upper deck, the birds and butterflies that make their way through the trees each day are magnificent. The area surrounding the farm has by far some of the most beautiful landscapes and being up so high in altitude the clouds come and go throughout the day. Alex, Ken and the other members of this family are friendly and always willing to help with anything you need. The area is pretty easy to find your way around, there is plenty to see and do in the nearby Santa Elena and Monteverde area (only a short 20 min. drive). I would definitely recommend this home with the highest ratings for all ages."

  • 2BR private villa on horse farm

"From my first conversations and emails with the owner of this property it was clear he understood the meaning of the word "vacation" and he was determined to do everything possible to make ours as relaxing and stress free as possible. He should be the poster child for the hospitality and tourism industry! From the beautiful, well thought out and impeccable (my standards have never been met until now) accommodations, to the pool and the barn where we could go and visit the horses anytime we wanted, the entire property was amazing. The people employed on this horse ranch are not just "customer service" friendly, they are truly warm and kind people. Each one we met made us feel were were the only people on earth and they handled arrangements for our tours with ease. We loved that it was away from the tourist center, yet the drive to everything seemed like nothing at all. All I can say is if you are looking at this property, do not hesitate, book it now!"

  • Secluded, peaceful, and magical stay!

"We stayed at Casa Cielo for 2 nights--it was not enough time! Perched on a hillside with a magnificent view toward the gulf, this cabin feels like it's in it's own world. It's a unique location and a really special place--do yourself a favor and book a stay here! On our way up, we stopped by the Sustainability Demonstration Center to meet Veronica, and would strongly encourage everyone to do the same--she's so wonderful and they're doing great work there! We also got to visit the farmers market across the street which was lovely. When we arrived at Casa Cielo, Giselle met us, showed us around, and provided delicious, farm-fresh, homemade refreshments! The cabin has everything you need, and is comfy and cozy. We had some dog and cat visitors, strays or neighbors but all very friendly, so that's a bonus if you love animals! The location is very convenient if you want to visit the cloud forest, and Veronica's recommendation/help with reservations at Selvatura Park was very valuable. Can't say enough good things about this special place, and can't wait to go back! Very highly recommended!"
