  • Nice house with a beautiful view. Amazing Vacation!

"We rented this house for the whole month of July and it was a wonderful experience. This is a perfect house to relax in with family and friends. Pochomil is a very remote city and there is not much to do in the city itself, but this house was a perfect spot for us. It has two large rooms with bathrooms connected to them and a third room all in the main building. The jacuzzi was like a mini pool for our kids and was a nice cool down on hot days. The best thing about the house THE VIEW! The view of the pacific ocean and the beach below is gorgeous. You wake up everyday looking at the pacific ocean and go to bed each night listening to the waves. Our family of 5 has great memories of our family meals eaten outdoors under the gazebo with the ocean right below us. You MUST hire Meyling as your chef and her husband Jose Manuel is the caretaker of the property. THEY ARE THE BEST! We wish we could have taken them back to the states with us. Again, we recommend to hire Meyling because she is the best cook in the country. Just amazing. The house is really close to the beach and we went there frequently when the tide was right. There is open sand beach and enormous rocks on the beach so there are also tide pools to check out. The beach is super quiet and with so few people on the beach it felt almost like a private beach. Also, there is a hotel just below the property and you can have a meal out at the restaurant and swim in their pool. The house has AC in all the bedrooms, cable TV, and internet. The area is safe and truly relaxing. We enjoyed renting horses for rides on the beach, renting quads and driving up to the fish market in Masachampa, we took the local bus to the waterfalls in San Rafael del Sur, we rented boogie boards and surf boards from the hotel for the enjoyment on the beach. The caretaker, Jose Manuel, was a great resource for us and helped us set up many excursions. We highly recommend this house to my friends, family, and you."

  • Just what we needed!

"Wow, what a getaway. For anyone looking to disconnect and relax in a beautiful spot, this is for you. The house is lovely - bungalow style with a large open area and great appliances. We spent plenty of time on the hammocks and adirondack chairs out back, mostly for early morning coffee and evening cocktails. There's nothing to hear but the pleasant ambient noises of the ocean and tropical forest. There is no internet connection so the temptation to "check in" isn't there and by the third day we weren't even thinking about it any longer. Both bathrooms are clean and spacious, and bedrooms include A/C to keep you cool at night. The surrounding area is terrific. The rustic walk (or ride on bikes if you choose) to the ecolodge is pleasant and and the ecolodge itself is extremely well designed and maintained. The food and drinks are great and given there are no crowds there is never a line for anything - food, drinks, massages, yoga, tours, etc. Just ask and you got it! We left our two young kids at home for this trip. Within an hour of arriving we were already planning a return visit. That said, it is extremely family friendly (there were several parents with kids there) so should you desire bring them along. For us, it was the perfect trip to reset and unwind - fueled by a steady flow of rum, walks on an empty beach, morning and evening swims and talking with friendly people from all over. We're going back ASAP!"

  • Stunning views and house was amazing!

"We were so blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home for the month of February. The pictures don't actually do the property justice - this casa we called our "pimped out Flintstone house" with all of the concrete, it was everything and more than we needed. We enjoyed the walk into town and back everyday to get our fresh baked bread and inexpensive fresh fruits and vegetables at the market. The BBQ was a perfect touch for grilling our fresh chicken and veggies. Gabriel (Property Manager) and housecleaning staff were top notch. They struck a perfect balance of respecting our privacy and making sure we were not for want. Sandra and George were a pleasure to deal with and we had no concerns about the rental process, any question(s) we had, were always answered quickly. Our private pool was well used and much enjoyed. We even came to love the sounds of Noah's Ark living down below the hillside. We like to be good guests (energy conscious) and had made a pact not to use the AC the month that we were there . . . although it was scorching hot some days, because of the plentiful screened windows and many ceiling fans, we did just fine without A/C! We have travelled the world and this place is definitely one of our faves - we will be back! Kim & Jim"
