Golden Lake cottages

February's Family Day tradition of 4 families (related by being neighbours for 20 years). First year in 15 not in single cabins in the Madawaska Valley where we ski, icefish, sled, skate snowshoe, eat, drink, play boardgames and puzzling on top of the physical activities and mammoth meals. This house was the creme de la creme for all of that, and only one kitchen to clean. Host was super, didn't overload with details, if we couldn't work something out we were able to reach out for a quick answer. Clean, spacious, lots of private space if you wanted to read! Loved it!! personal time too.

It was a very nice property, on a quiet road. Good spot to go ice fishing, lots of fish in the lake! And lots of space to relax inside or outside at the fire place! Overall experience was 10/10 would 100% go back!

It was a breathtaking place with everything you need. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the provincial park. There were so many fun things for the kids to do. The games room was a real hit! The beach is very kid friendly and it was an added bonus to get out on the kayak! Highly recommed this place.

We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. The cottage got both very hot and cold while we were there with the fluctuating temps that week. The fans in every room work wonders and there is heating if needed. Adequate and comfortable linens provided. Some toiletries if needed. Really nice to have a washer and dryer on site if you need to wash and dry towels or clothing you brought up. All the comforts of home including a dishwasher, coffee machine etc. TVs also in every room which was convenient. As others have mentioned, it seemed as though there were not a lot of mosquitoes but the ones that got us were the itchiest we have ever experienced. Property was secluded / private enough though you could see some neighbouring cottages/guests a ways away. Hosts were prompt with responses to any correspondence. I think the biggest take away was that we had a very comfortable stay as a family of four with small children.

My vacation was very pleasant. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very nicely decorated. It was well equipped with appliances, everything you might need for a short or long term stay. Although not on the water, there was a very nice beach a 5 min walk down the cottage road. Very enjoyable!

Fabulous location and well appointed cottage. Beautiful waterfront with picturesque sunsets. Lots of room indoors and out. Friendly neighbourhood and easy access to local farmers markets.

Everything was lovely. Well kitted out for domestic needs as well as toys and water games. The water is really lovely. The neighbours friendly. The beds great. Can’t really think of a negative. Thanks. We would love to return…

A beautiful private and well-kept waterfront property and home on the Lake. Multiple choices for short drives for scenery, groceries, and close by trips to Many Provincial Parks………or you could sit on the spacious deck overlooking the beautiful property and the lake……or go swimming or kayaking from either of two docks! It is easy to authentically and highly recommend this VRBO.
