  • A lovely house in a lovely setting

"A lovely house in a lovely setting. Extremely well appointed with everything you could need and more. The decoration and provisions are lavish and designer. Eight of us stayed very comfortably for a week. The siting is perfect for visiting Edinburgh, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Berwick, Bamburgh and numerous seaside towns - we did all this in a week. The weather wasn't always brilliant but it didn't matter when you had such a comfortable house to come back to."

  • Great Cottage, Great People, Great Location

"What a lovely cottage. Modern finish, but still homely. Good facilities. Our 17 month son had a great time playing in the fully enclosed garden and playing with the slide and Wendy House provided. He also had fun playing with the toys that were in the cupboard. The owners were very welcoming and even though their buildings run around the same courtyard as the cottage the courtyard is big and the configuration of the buildings mean that you don’t feel encroached upon. Location also excellent – 10/15 minutes to the beaches of the beautiful north Northumberland coast, a similar distance inland to the Cheviot Hills. 35 mins south to Alnwick Castle and Gardens. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here."

  • Good place to stay in a fantastic town

"Very modern and easy to keep clean. Literally 1 minute from shops, the theatre and cinema, restaurants and two minutes from the town wals and Holy Trinity church. No dedicated car parking but plenty nearby, but we didn't care as we came on the train with our bikes (railway station with connections to many places 10 minutes walk away; wonderful coast and countryside 5 minutes cycle ride away)."
