  • Great stay in very Parisian apartment

"We had a very nice stay at this apartment on Rue de la Huchette! The location was fantastic with the San Michel metro station nearby as well as Notre Dame. The beds (queen & couch) were very comfortable, the shower was great, and we took advantage of the tiny balcony to watch the activity below. Rue de la Huchette is a very busy street late into the night, but once you close the windows, you can't hear much of anything. We also used the washer/dryer which was very helpful. We would definitely stay again - it's truly in the heart of Paris!"

  • Lovely, cozy and comfortable

"The location of the "Jacques" apartment can't be beat. A two minute walk to Notre Dame, Ste. Chapelle, and the Ste. Michelle Metro which will get you everywhere else. The Louvre and Musee D'Orsay were but a 15 minute stroll. Lots of options for groceries if you plan on eating in, including a totally fabulous open-air market around the grounds of the Jardin Cluny. The apartment was clean, very charming and comfortable. White washed walls, dark wooden ceiling beams and terra-cotta tile floors--we felt très français. Our young kids slept on the very comfortable, pull out sofa--it became two twin beds--but noted that the noise from the street was a little bothersome. It was cool enough in October (during our stay) to close the street-facing windows so sleeping was fine. The main bedroom located in the back was very quiet. Its windows opened to a central court for the building. A couple of cautionary points for those who like the typical hotel stay: Because the apartment's in a very old building, there is no elevator, and it is on the fourth floor. Pack lightly! The bathroom is not a high-end experience. It's small and could use a little attention to the tile work and caulking around the half-bath tub/shower, but it was perfectly adequate for us. The kitchen was fine if a bit low on drinking glasses (plenty of wine glasses!!) and spoons (but hordes of forks and knives!). Hardly major drawbacks. All in all, I recommend this little charmer as a place to collapse at the end of a long day of sightseeing."

  • A home away from home

"I have rented from Linda several times now in the past few years. I have found dealing with her and her representative in Paris, Maryvonne, truly a pleasure. It is easy to reserve the flat, everything lined out for you and clear right from the start so no surprises when you leave the flat. I love the area and the flat is located conveniently so practically everything is acceissible either by metro or on foot. When I think of going to Paris, this flat is always my first choice. I stayed here in July for 2 weeks and had it all to myself. I had the best time ever!!!!"

  • Great location, great small apartment

"Check in and obtaining keys from boxes were clearly described and relatively easy to do as per property manager instructions. Room is well constructed. I must admit, and even though I read about it, the 4 floor climb can be a be a bit of slog at night after lots of sightseeing so you must prepare yourself. The shower is a bit compact but my only issue there was I found the drainage to be slow. But it did drain and so not blocked. Just need to get used it. As one reviewer mentioned this is way better than a hotel room and I agree wholeheartedly. You will enjoy get your daily exercise up the stairs too :). Really great location. If you close the windows you won't hear (or barely) some of the night noises from the bar down the street, It got a bit noisy from the joy of France winning the semi final game on July 7th. But really it was not bothersome at all! LOVE Paris .."
