  • Great location

"The apartment was centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere: the only way to truly enjoy Paris! There are restaurants, bars and stores all around and you will never go without food or wine. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures and the beds were comfortable and clean. Instructions on how to use the wifi, tv and other appliances are available in English and easy to follow. I corresponded with Alexandre through email only and the response time was short and answers helpful. Getting to CDG airport is easy as the RER line B will take you there directly (Notre Dame - St-Michel). Because of their location, the 5th and 6th arrondissements are busy areas and full of people at all times of the day and sometimes late into the night. If you are looking for a quiet residential area, this will not be for you. We wanted a great location and this is what we got. And we managed the noise at night by putting in earplugs when it was necessary :)."

  • Just terrific!

"My husband and I just left this apartment, so we can tell you it was absolutely great! The apartment itself is loaded with character and nicely decorated. It has everything you could possibly need, right down to a strong hairdryer (no need to bring one----I have very thick hair and it dried my hair faster than it's ever been dried before!) The wifi is excellent. The kitchen lacked for nothing. We made breakfast every morning from stores right down the street----baguettes, butter, jam, croissants, eggs. I miss my baguettes and croissants already. The bed is just fabulous. I know that's a strong word, but it was. We walked miles every day and because of the quality and support of the mattress, we did not have one ache in our body. It's a temperpedic type. There is plenty of storage for clothes and the room has curtains that keep the room dark. It is very quiet. The bathroom was modern and we had no trouble with the shower- strong water pressure. We loved the big windows in the living room. It was fun to watch the world go by from them. They open and there's a nice cross breeze if the place gets a little stuffy. I like that the building had two doors to go through ---for safety, as the apartment is at a busy intersection with a lot people. The building is so old and the inside is fascinating. My husband just couldn't get over the steps and beams, etc. From the outside, it looks like a typical city apartment----the door is between two stores and you are two floors above the stores. It is a very hip, urban area with a major department store diagonally across the street and cafes and markets and bakeries and boutiques, etc, going both ways. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't in a more quaint, pretty area, but the location quickly made up for that. You are one block form the metro and taxi stand, two blocks from the Seine and the bridge that takes you over to Il de la Cite (Notre Dame) and that is where the RER (train station) is. That made life very easy! The location is central enough that you can walk to many major sites. (Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, The Louvre, Victor Hugo's house, Picasso Museum, etc.) The owner is very responsive and helpful. We came in on an early morning flight and she was gracious enough to let us into the apartment early. We really did appreciate that. Although she couldn't be there to meet us, she sent her friend Gaelle who was just great. She let us in and showed us where everything was. Would rent again!"

  • Wonderful!

"My husband and I really enjoyed staying at the Pont Neuf apartment! Besides being in a great location, the apartment is clean, comfortable and so nice. It's location in the second courtyard back helped to keep it quiet, which was great in a busy neighborhood. The 6th is a perfect area to stay and close to many of the fabulous sights in Paris. It was only a couple of minutes to the lovely Seine River, and we enjoyed wine and cheese in the Square du Vert Galant, so wonderful! Would stay here again on a return trip to Paris. Merci Beaucoup!"

  • Really could not have been better!

"We just got home from staying in Serge's beautiful apartment the last week of April. There is not enough room here to describe how happy we were with this choice of apartments!!! - First, The OWNER Serge was a fantastic host... So helpful, and anxious to make our stay wonderful. The first thing I said walking in was that the apt. really was MORE beautiful than the pictures let on. - The LOCATION was no less than ideal! The Louvre just a block away, Metro station, Louvre-Rivoli, was steps from the front door with easy connections for every destination, Notre Dame only a 15 minute walk, great restaurants (La Petit Maichon-our favorite) and bakeries for breakfast, easy walk to Isle St. Louis. The stairs were a challenge for a couple 50+ year olds, but very doable. - PEACEFUL - tons of sunlight, beautiful windows, stylishly decorated, so quiet. We loved just relaxing in the living room with cheese and bread watching the news at night. A special widow ledge with plants and birdseed brought beautiful birds to our window. And every convenience has been thoughtfully supplied. -VALUE - felt like we got such a great apartment for the money. - SLEEPING - King size bed was very comfortable, with great closets for clothes and gear. - BATHROOM was really nice, luxury tub was so relaxing, with rainfall shower separate. - KITCHEN had everything you'd need and more. Really, the best selling point for us was the owner, Serge, who was a perfect gentleman, and so helpful--such a gracious and conscientious host. We will absolutely recommend this apartment to friends in the future, and would stay here again without question."
