  • Perfect location!

"This apartment was fantastic and in the perfect location just overlooking the square in Vernazza. The Mediterranean Sea is right outside the door with views of the sea from the windows. Two minute walk to train station and hiking trails. Even though there was a storm alert the day we were there that closed the trails and most of the shops, we had a wonderful time taking the train from town to town, and enjoyed excellent food and wine in the restaurants that were open. We were still able to do some hikes through the vineyards on the hillsides above the towns and got magnificent views, with the trails totally to ourselves! Be aware that when there is a storm watch, the trains don't run on regular schedules - we were stuck in Monterosso until 11:30p.m. due to train cancellations, but that was certainly not a bad place to spend an evening. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay here again!"

  • Spacious, historic home with a fantastic view

"We recently returned from a fantastic 6 night stay at Casa Chiara in Monterosso. Our group of 5 spent a lot of time sitting out on the front terrace enjoying the views and activities of the village below. The house is big enough for 6 people easily, with all of the bedrooms being very spacious and the kitchen providing more than enough of the essentials for groups much larger in size. The house was very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including laundry detergent, kitchen staples and beach towels – it felt like home. As others have stated Danielle was great to work with and was a very welcome sight at the train station upon arrival (she also assisted with our bags up the hill); on the way to the house she pointed out a few of her favorite restaurants and grocery stores in Monterosso, and the ones we tried were first rate (we didn’t try all of them because we found a couple of them to be so good we didn’t want to try anything new!). During our stay at Monterosso we visited the other four fishing villages and unanimously were very happy with our decision to stay in Monterosso as it provided a little more variety in all things (restaurants, accommodation and shops) than the other much smaller towns lacked – including space for all of the day trippers! We will definitely come back to Monterosso one day and if it is available would stay at Casa Chiara again without any hesitation."

  • A wonderful villa with great views

"We cannot say enough good things about the home, the view, the well-furnished kitchen, the gardens, and the good people of Riomaggiore. We did not want to leave! The sunsets are exquisite, the people friendly, and the food and wine delicious. We will return to Pamela's home again."
