  • A most convenient and beautiful retreat

"We stayed here for three nights during our stay in the Florence area. It was a perfect spot, very convenient to get into the city, and yet in the midst of the lovely countryside. Francesca was a wonderful host, meeting us on arrival and giving us terrific advice on locations to visit and restaurants. She recommended we visit Certaldo, only 30 minutes away, and we were so glad we went. She also recommended a terrific restaurant nearby (Ristorante Il Focolare) in the village, and it was memorable to say the least. Trust us...take her advice and get the steak! The apartment was roomy and beautiful. We had everything that we needed, and we simply loved the place. It is a gated hideaway with beautiful views. We just wished that we could have stayed longer. It is very comfortable, clean and quaint. It truly is larger than the pictures suggest. It has a gated entry, and we immediately felt like we were far away from the city. We enjoyed sitting outside under the canopy in the evening, as well as enyoying our morning coffee there looking at the expansive views. We drove into Scandicci and rode the T1 tram into Florence. The tram stop was less than 30 minutes away. We also enjoyed driving around the countryside tasting wine, and this is the perfect home base. (May I suggest Sant'Agnese Farm in Castellina in Chianti, which may very well be the highlight of our trip!) We absolutely recommend this house. We selected this spot strictly on the many positive reviews when we were planning, so I had to add mine to the list. You will not go wrong saying here. Thank you, Francesca, for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and for your hospitality. We can only hope to get to return again!"

  • Perfect place to stay!

"The perfect spot for a stay to immerse yourself in the culture and life of Florence. Very well appointed, nicely furnished apartment with all mod-cons needed in a great location. And the roof-terrace- what a wonderful spot to have that evening drink, lunch or dinner.. Eleanora set the tone with her warm welcome and helpful information. Highly recommended! • Spacious, Clean and Comfortable Apt, in Fantastic Location

"Cannot say enough positive things about our stay at this apartment! Plenty of space to either 'hang out' together; or gain privacy by sitting in the spacious sitting areas beside the dining area and bedroom windows; and/or the living room, avoiding feeling we were living 'in each other's pockets.’ We came to Florence to immerse ourselves in the charm and uniqueness of the city; and staying at this apartment enhanced that experience, with it’s age, furnishings, and views. We also found it very clean. The pictures do not really show the size, I think because of the extra tall ceilings. The living room is large and comfortable; with a dining area at one end, beside the extra tall windows. The fully functional kitchen afforded us the ability to have a relaxing breakfast in the apartment, before heading out on our day's adventure; and late evening snacks (and wine, of course). The view from the dining table, looked out over the Arno, directly at the Uffizi Gallery! Very quick to walk over the Ponte Vecchio to the Gallery; and into the heart of the city. Also, there is a large grocery store just minutes up the road; as well as good restaurants. The beds were very comfortable; and the sitting areas, with the wonderful views out very tall windows, were neat. I’ve read some reviews that noted noise from the street; but for us, the sounds of life outside were not a problem, since we enjoyed the location so much – and that is part of living close to the center of a very old city. The two bathrooms were appreciated, since our sons are in their 20's and we all wanted privacy. Close enough to walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo; very close to the Ponte Vecchio, Galileo Museum and Uffizi Gallery."
