Holiday rentals near Penfield Nature Reserve

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in July. Lynette let us in early on the first day and we were allowed to stay a bit later. This is really appreciated when there’s no one staying just before or after. Some of the access and departure times are still as bad as during Covid! The bungalow is in a lovely quiet gated development within easy walking distance of everything in Stamford town, including Waitrose. The 2 parking spaces are a great addition. The bungalow is very well equipped. Hot water was good and the main bedroom didn’t get too hot even though it was very warm when we stayed. The little courtyard is lovely too. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a tremendous family weekend, thoroughly enjoying all the water activities on the lake and tennis. It worked well for our mix of ages and was enjoyed by all. It was a great chance for the grandchildren to learn/practice new skills and the adults enjoyed it too. The warm weather helped!

The cottage is ideally placed for those who love to visit English Country Estates such as Burghley, House and Grimsthorpe Castle. The cottage's decor and amenities are of the highest standard

Rolo's Lodge was the perfect New Year retreat for our family and dog! It was so comfortable and cosy and Tallington Lakes are really peaceful.The hot tub was bliss!Thank you for a lovely stay

One of the nicest rental properties we have ever stayed at! Joanne’s property was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated and just a few minutes walk from central Stamford. Joanne was very attentive and house was well equipped. Would love to come back again!

A beautifully presented property that unlike so many others, didn’t just look good but was comforting and welcoming as well. The king sized bed was worth the trip alone, and the thoughtful touches such as the welcome hamper and the well stocked bathroom amenities were the icing on the cake. We’ll definitely be back with the whole family!
