  • Great Condo on Our Favorite Beach!

"We loved this place! Literally steps from the beach, a very lovely and spacious condo in the usual Mexican resort-style. The building is very well-maintained, they clean the pool every day which was just great! The staff is super-nice and it really could not have been more enjoyable. I would have to say that this place was even better than we had hoped, and the listing was spot-on. We were delighted! Loved: The balcony overlooking the pool, the beautiful sunsets and a few stunning thunder-and-lightning displays; Waving at our friends at Blue Chairs from said balcony; Proximity to the shops and restaurants that we like to frequent; no cabs required! The staff-so hospitable and helpful; The general cleanliness of the unit and the building. Hated: We had no issues at all, I can't think of one negative to say. I had to e-mail the owner about a small thing and he responded right away. We will be back, there is no question, and if you are reading this review in consideration of renting the unit, I say GO FOR IT!"

  • Well located, clean, comfortable & stylish

"This place was a real find for us. My wife and I stayed here for the PV part of our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with it. We walked down to the beaches and restaurants daily, made food in the kitchen and hung out on the porch. Some days we lounged by the pool. Javier was great - really helpful. Highly recommended!"

  • A good deal

"From my memory of reading over the property description and the other reviews, everything was accurate. Compliments (the Good): 1. The owner responded to questions very quickly and was honest and forthcoming with answers. I felt comfortable with all transactions. 2. The condo is in very good condition. I was especially impressed with the quality of the kitchen and the quality/effectiveness of the air conditioners. 3. The bed (at least the one in the master bedroom) had a very good mattress for a vacation rental. It was softer and more comfortable than most. 4. The location is about as good as you're going to find in the "Old Town". It's on the beach, on the Malecon, and very close to pretty much everything in that neighborhood. If you're looking to stay in this part of Puerto Vallarta, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better location. 5. The building staff was very good and courteous. The cleaning staff is top notch. 6. The rooftop swimming pool is very nice. It's not one of the new and popular "infinity pools", but if you stand up you can easily see the ocean and a very nice 10th floor view of the entire area. Suggestions (the Bad): 1. My biggest complaint was the thin curtain in the master bedroom. It was utterly impossible to sleep-in past dawn, first of all, but..perhaps even worse...there is a lot of light that comes through at night due to the street lamps on the Malecon. Frankly, I was a little upset that anyone would just assume that everyone in the world is a "morning person" and be able to deal with such bright light at night and in the mornings. I believe that all hotels and vacation rentals should have thick (preferably "black out") curtains available...just as most good hotels already do. For those that prefer more light, it's easy to move them aside. 2. While I know that the owners can't control when construction happens, I do expect for hotel and vacation rental owners to inform me about upcoming construction so that I can make an informed decision on whether I want to stay or not. The building is almost entirely concrete, so there was jackhammer drilling non-stop all day, Monday-Saturday ..from multiple locations in the building. 3. The condo stank of old wood when we arrived (especially the second bedroom). It was pretty unbearable until we got some air fresheners from MEGA (although having the building/cleaning staff turn on the A/C before we arrived would have helped... It was VERY stuffy.)"
