  • I will be back!

"The unit was proved to be more than expected. We were 4 adults and had plenty of room; and the private solarium was an added bonus! Not a concern for not being "right on the beach" as you could see it, and walk right to it! A spectacular overview of the whole complex. I understand it was the only building of the 4-that had an elevator-so worked out great for one of our people!"

  • A glorious home base

"All the good things people have said about Villa Mariposa are 100% true. All 3 bedrooms are beautiful, spacious & removed enough from the main area to make everybody feel they had their space. Being 'slightly padded' Canadians, we were concerned how we'd fare without air conditioning but it was fine. The ocean breeze graces every bedroom and the fans help too. You might want to bring earplugs as the jungle is not always quiet - lol. There are a few birds who are rehearsing to be alarm clocks and it made us snicker most mornings as they did their vocal warm ups. Luis & Nery are wonderful caretakers & their kids are polite and sweet. I wish we'd had Luis cook for us but we never quite got our act together. We love the friendly, quiet road where Villa Mariposa is situated and having security at the entrance just enhances how safe the area is. Strolling down to Blue Sky Pizza for a meal or exploring Casa Cenote were convenient treats. Our group ranged in age from 17 to 61. All of us love to get out and explore but I must say that the best days were spent at Villa Mariposa... the days when we'd wake up and leisurely have coffee on the patio, letting the sun and sea greet us. Eventually we'd grab our snorkel gear and swim out in search of another stunning adventure. We saw stingrays, eagle rays, hundreds of fish... we'd stay out watching for hours. Eventually we'd drag ourselves out of the water and flop into the hammocks under the palapa with a cold drink. Lunch, siesta, then more lazy beach time watching the sun go down. True peace. Thank you, Veronique & family, for sharing this magnificent gem with us."

  • Wonderfully relaxing vacation

"We stayed at Bruce and Sharon's condo this summer and had a ball! The condo was just as it was pictured but even more inviting when we saw the location and amenities that were available inside the complex. The 3 queen beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary appliances and dishes, there were beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella, everything you could want for a quick stroll to the beautiful beach. There is a huge pool for swimming lengths which my wife enjoyed. Also there were plenty of lounge chairs and tables around the pool. There was also an up to date gym for early morning workouts which I took advantage of. There is a safe in the condo which we didn't use as the condo is completely contained with an underground parking structure entering right into the complex. There are security guards 24/7 at both entrances. The location was primo with many restaurants within walking distance. We did not have a car and didn't need one until the day we decided to go to pyramids. The management staff was so helpful in helping us book a car and advise us which ruins we should go see. Can't say enough wonderful things, everything was perfect and Bruce was a phone call away and very attentive in answering our many questions before our trip! Thanks again and we will definitely be back next year!"
