  • great stay!

"We had such a nice stay in this condo. the pictures are a great representation of the property. If anything the common areas are larger than they seem. It was a group of 7 of us, we never felt crowded. The condo was spotlessly clean, the staff stopped by on our arrival to ensure we had all the information we needed to stay. We had one minor issue that was promptly corrected. Housekeeping came once on our 3 day trip and did a thorough, great job. Air conditioning was great with thermostats in every room, beds comfortable. bathrooms were clean, modern. Internet strength was not the best, especially when a few people were using it we had some issues with that, but probably for the best because it made us relax more :) The roof deck is gorgeous and definitely what made this condo even better! There was a grill up there which we did not end up using but we definitely would have if our stay was longer. Susan Mattingly, who owns Playa luxury rentals who manages the property was wonderful to deal with and very knowledgeable on the area. I would not hesitate to book this rental again, and would honestly love to come every year! I also highly recommending booking a day tour with Soy La Pesera- you can find her on facebook or trip advisor , most amazing day of our trip!!! Also take advantage of the $20 70 minute massages next door from the condo! they were right on the beach and incredible!!"

  • Best Condo on the Beach in PDC

"We have been to Luna Encantada seven or eight times over the last 11 years since it opened, and in particular have stayed in Unit D-1 most frequently. We have taken friends, family and other times just the two of us. Luna Encantada provides the perfect spot to call home for a week as it is walking distance to anywhere in PDC proper due to it's location on the beach at 6th North. A lot has changed in PDC since our first visit in 2005, the one thing that hasn't is the condition of this property and the helpfulness of the staff once you step foot in a little piece of heaven."

  • Terrific birthday getaway

"I just returned from celebrating my 60th birthday with my partner and a friend at Luna Encantada in Playa del Carmen. I'm very glad we did, because we were all really pleased with Rich and Jackie's condo. The condo and the complex itself were very clean and carefully managed by a local property management company. Every other day, the condo was serviced and cleaned, beds made and trash taken out. We found the staff very friendly and helpful and they always seemed to be cleaning the pool area and making sure chlorine levels in the pool (the water was always clean) were adequate. Noise levels at the condo were never a problem, especially since all the windows are double-paned. The complex is really convenient to Quinta Avenida (half a block away) and everything it has to offer, but by all means, explore the other streets off QA and everything they have to offer for an even more authentic experience. There is a very convenient taxi stand right at the corner of Calle 6 and QA if you don't feel like walking. And the bus terminal is an easy 5 minute walk away. Rich was very helpful in providing information about getting to the condo, where to eat, things to do, etc. When I had questions, he was quite prompt in replying. If there were any downsides to staying here, we'd have to say that because there is a stretch of coral on the beach at the complex, it didn't really make it a great place to just go and jump in the ocean. It would have been too rocky. But getting to another smoother part close by was no problem. The extra sofa in the master bedroom and one of the guest rooms seemed unnecessary and blocked access to the balcony. It just made those spaces a bit awkward. And the patio also felt like it had too much furniture. More hooks to hang wet towels would be great. When we arrived, Hurricane Earl was just starting to hit south of the Yucatan in Belize. We got some of the outlying storms from it which stirred up a seaweed dump on parts of the beach at Playa. The smell was a little off-putting but we realized that it's just part of life in the tropics. The property owners along the beach were doing their best to remove it quickly, though. We would not hesitate to recommend or return to Luna Encantada."

  • Perfection in Playa

"We rented E2 for our family's Fall Break getaway. It was the perfect spot for 4 adults and 2 children to enjoy everything Playa del Carmen had to offer. 3 bedrooms / 2 bath - security gated front and beach side. A beautiful beach is just steps away and an infinity pool that kept the kids (and adults) happy provides an amazing view. You're just a short walk from the many shops of 5th avenue - with restaurants to please everyone or cook in its fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of beach and bath towels. Only recommendation would be to add more wash cloths (only supplied enough for 1 day). The washer and dryer in the unit was a definite plus. Friendly and efficient housekeeping and pool / beach staff. Just a short walk to the Cozumel ferry, Playa's city park with nightly entertainment or Walmart for necessities. No need to rent a car as you're just steps away from everything. Location location location."
