  • Very much at home at Casa Serena

"We spent ten days (11 nights) in Casa Serena, a very nice house located in a pleasant neighbourhood in the centre of Mérida -- a perfect location to discover this lovely city. The house is typical, featuring very high beamed ceilings, tall wooden doors that let the air circulate, and period tiled floors, elements which contribute to the quality of the whole experience. It is confortable, clean, quiet, spacious, and enjoyable. The privacy of the courtyard and its swimming-pool are great. Everything works well and the kitchen has what is needed for home cooking. The property managers, Deborah and David, provided assistance when needed. We loved every moment we spent in Casa Serena and in Mérida. There is a lot to see, to enjoy, in town and in the region. Every citizen with whom we interacted was very nice and welcoming. C. Fortier & J.P. Souque, Ottawa, Canada"

  • Beauty and tranquility.

"Casa Musa is as good, even better than the pictures. We stayed for 8 nights. Not only is it beautiful, the furniture, appliances, and linens are all top quality. We are 10 year veterans of VRBO. This property is the best. One thing that we had never experienced before was having a property management / concierge service. Jonathan from Remixto was incredibility responsive to any question and helpful. Before our visit, we needed ADO bus tickets from and to Cancun. We could not buy them online from the US. Remixto purchased our tickets for us and saved us a lot of trouble trying to purchase them during our short visit in Cancun. Remixto spoiled us for other future VRBO rentals. Generally, we found Merida and the Casa Musa location very safe. We would have no qualms having our teenage daughter walk the historic center or area around the apartment. The people of Merida are incredibly nice. The apartment is quiet, especially the bedrooms. The air conditioners in the various rooms worked well. Such an oasis coming in from the heat and humidity! To the owners of Casa Musa: Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous property and art. It was like staying in a high end art gallery which is nirvana for me being an art major. Casa Musa inspired us to buy a painting in Merida, which, thankfully arrived home safely. We love it and it will always remind us of our stay in Casa Musa."

  • Beautiful!

"The setting was extremely beautiful with a private pool, pelicans flying overhead, and the beach in our backyard. We spent a lot of time at the pool and in the Gulf of Mexico. While more rustic and remote than a stay in Cancun, it was perfect for us! We enjoyed the privacy, relaxation, and easy access to all the Yucatan has to offer. Perfect for a large group, extended family or blended family. Lots of separate space as well as communal space. The communal space isn't air conditioned, but all areas have overhead fans. The property was clean and early each morning the pool was maintained. We had a couple of simple issues and questions that were answered right away. Manuel and Gabriela are on-site to help and Jean Pierre is only a call away to assist with any questions or issues that arise. Jean Pierre also visited in person when we arrived and before we departed. When we could bring ourselves to leave the beautiful setting, we loved visiting the market at Merida, the ruins at Dzibilchaltun, seeing flamingos in the water along the road to Progresso, and eating fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants in Progresso. We enjoyed spending time in the small village of Telchac Puerto. We walked down the beach to Telchac Puerto to see the murals, watch the fishermen on the pier, visit a small grocery store, and eat at Los Tiburones across from the lighthouse. Thanks Jean Pierre, Manuel, and Gabriela!"

  • Very comfortable and great location

"The home was located within easy walking distance to many amenities, restaurants and other points of interest and on one of the quieter streets in centro. The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a nice stay - including a washing machine! Also, having access to the Remixto team and meeting them at the house upon arrival was a terrific bonus. Irving went over the features of the home as well as an overview of the neighborhood. The only con was all of the seed pods that fall from the magnificent palm tree and land in the pool. They were not a terrible inconvenience, but actually gave our daughter a purpose in the pool! This is a vacation rental done right - we had a great stay!!!"
