  • Comfortable apartment

"We stayed here for just over two months. The apartment is in a great neighborhood of Palermo Soho. Lots of shops, restaurants, parks, clubs, music, etc. We walked nearly everywhere from here and only took cabs to the airports and ferry terminal. Cabs are plentiful and easy to get right outside your door. The apartment is comfortable. The pull-out couch worked well for our adult son's visit. Not a fan of the bed that sits so low to the ground, but I guess that's very common in Argentina. It was comfortable but a bit soft for our tastes. The small kitchen was fine. We mainly stored snacks and drinks in the refrigerator. We ate out nearly all the time. Whatever we needed in the kitchen was there, ie corkscrew, paper towels, silverware, dishes, etc. We just had to replenish some supplies since we stayed there so long. The shower was fine..plenty strong and lots of hot water after a short wait. Bathroom was adequate; towels were high quality as were the bed linens. We appreciated that! Balcony furniture was a bit uncomfortable, but nice to have a place to sit. The owner has ordered the sliding door to be replaced; we couldn't lock it. We worked the entire time we stayed in Argentina and really appreciated all the effort the owner and manager went through to get the highest speed internet available in Buenos Aires. Worked consistently great. The biggest issue we had with the apartment was outside the control of the owner: the street noise. We live in a downtown area at home but never appreciated the concept of noise pollution until we traveled to South America. The noise is fairly constant except from 6-9 am. It's really important to either bring a sound machine with you or to have an app on your phone to block out the noise from the bars, the squeaky buses, loud motorcycles, etc. It's part of being in a big South American city, but this area appears especially noisy at night with all the bars and restaurants. While the apartment isn't what we would consider luxurious, it worked out well for us. We traveled around Argentina and appreciated having our stuff kept safely in the apartment. I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a nice neighborhood and a safe, comfortable place to stay. The managers were great with this suggestions and help. They checked in on us to make sure all was ok. We appreciated that. Also nice to have weekly cleaning."

  • Great Property in a Perfect Location

"Communication between property owner/manager was accurate and prompt. The entire process start to finish was easy and flawless. Arrangements for transport to and from EZE were smooth. Arrival at the property was met with a very pleasant and thorough Juan, who explained all the ins and outs of the property. Casa Viejo is a beautiful house that worked well for our family of four. We did not use the pool due to the time of year/outdoor temps., but we certainly could have. The layout of the house is very comfortable, with a lounge area upstairs where we spent the majority of our communal time while in the house. The main living room, which is likely comfortable for most months of the year, was a bit nippy due to a draft from the fireplace, which did not seem to have a flue (at least we couldn't locate one). We made little use of the kitchen, though it was conveniently stocked with bottled water, milk and orange juice. There was fresh fruit, fresh flowers, and coffee and Nespresso pods provided. We used the washing machine/dryer once - we did not use the dryer, but there was a large drying rack that worked perfectly for our needs. Part of the reason we made little use of the kitchen was the property's proximity to a seemingly endless number of adorable cafes and truly excellent restaurants. We were provided with a long list of recommendations and also discovered some new places (we HIGHLY recommend the restaurant Proper, which was so new it didn't even have a sign). It is possible to hail a taxi within a minute from any surrounding street, though we mostly walked to almost everything. The property was clean and well maintained and extremely well managed. The drains in the two upstairs showers (not the master) were very slow. That was truly the only issue - and it is pretty minor. I recommend this property without reservation."

  • Gorgeous apartment Recoleta area Buenos Aires

"After looking at over 75 properties in BA we decided on this one in the Recoleta area (Beverly hills of BA). Large, spacious and beautifully decorated with just the right mix of antiques and modern comfort. Well equipped kitchen with nespresso coffee maker. The staff had orange juice, milk, water, fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for us. The bedrooms had comfortable king size beds, flat screen tv's and bathrooms were modern with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Location was FANTASTIC!! Two blocks from the Recoleta cemetery and the mall. The weekend market (right across from the cemetery) was a highlight. Plenty of restaurants and markets within a block or two. Safe and quiet as well. Never any trouble getting a taxi. For an extra $6.00 a day we had direct unlimited phone service to the U.S. The apartment management team was very helpful with car service, restaurant reservations and show tickets. My only suggestion is the bedrooms needed blackout shades. Cannot wait to go back to BA and stay at this beautiful apartment again. You will not be disappointed!"
