  • Very nice home in a good location.

"We were visiting to see the Aurora and not only did we see it, but one night it was right over the cabin. The home was very comfortable even in negative temperatures due to the radiant flooring, a real plus."

  • An Amazing Experience With an Amazing Host!

"This was our first time in Alaska and we really didn't know what to expect when we arrived. We were cautious to book a week in 1 place afraid we may not like it much and be stuck with it. Well, our worries were definitely unfounded! We could have easily stayed our entire time at this cozy cabin in the woods. Our host, Simon made our stay very worthwhile. Simon is a busy and hard working guy but he took time out of his busy schedule to tell us about his awesome cabin and all of the activities that we could take advantage of. He introduced us to his beautiful sled dogs and let us know that he offered sled dog rides if we wanted go. We had unfortunately already had been on a ride with another company or we definitely would have taken advantage of that. His dogs were both athletic and beautiful. We were lucky enough to watch Simon running his dogs one evening when we went for a hike on his many trails. It was amazing how strong and smart his dogs were. Simon has a true love and bond with his dogs. Simon's cabin is exactly what we wanted in a cabin. It was a bit rustic yet had a very comfy feeling to it. My wife was so impressed that she had wished we had booked our whole stay with Simon. We believe that our great experience was mainly attributed to Simons character. He's a great guy that is very down to earth and made sure all of our needs were met.The cabin is a typical Alaska cabin with an outhouse but there was running water for a warm shower and to wash dishes. The cabin was warm and inviting. All though we didn't use it, there is a stove to cook on as well as a fridge. The layout of the cabin is exactly how I wanted to build one on our property in Illinois looking over the river. The cabin is approximately 50 to 70 yards off the road but you would never know it because of the dense woods that it sits in. The backyard is a wooded wonderland that has thick nice trails that Simon runs his dogs on. We were welcome to walk these trails and when we did we happened on to a young bull moose that moved off the trail to let us pass by. That was a neat and tense experience. We highly recommend staying at this cabin and getting to know Simon and his dog team. We loved Alaska and we will hopefully be back soon. When we do, we will be calling Simon to book his cabin and book a sled ride with his awesome dogs. Thanks for a great experience and memories Simon!"

  • Absolutely amazing!

"I can't say enough about how wonderful this little apartment was. The views were absolutely stunning, it was warm and cozy, and had everything we needed. Hannah and Carl were the perfect hosts. They were on vacation during our stay, and there had been a bad winter storm. The water had went out, and they immediately got someone to come out to fix the problem. They were so apologetic even though it was nature and nothing that could have been helped. We got to see amazing views of the northern lights right from their driveway two of our four nights (the first two nights were too cloudy in Fairbanks and surrounding areas). We also had no trouble getting to the house in an SUV, and I have no prior experience driving in ice/snow. Overall it was a great trip and we will definitely be staying there again when we go back!"

  • It was a great place to relax and rest

"Nicely remodeled condo, with everything you need to make your self at home. Up-to-date modern feel. Very comfortable bed and hot shower! Only negative thing we have to say is the driveway, and stairs were not cleared of snow, and there wasn't a shovel anywhere so we could take care of it ourselves."
