  • Location, location, location!!!

"Spending a month in this townhouse was a terrific experience for us and our little dog. The location is great: walks to town, shops, restaurants, and activity! There is lots to do and many day trips available for those who wish. We enjoyed meeting Mary Beth and Brian; they are so helpful and hospitable. The unit is spotless and well furnished -- everything you need, even when you first arrive. There are mountain views from the upstairs balcony; the fireplace is cozy for the cool evenings and mornings; there is abundant wildlife to see and hear (coyotes at night). All in all, it was a restful, rejuvenating month for us. We highly recommend this property and commend the owners for offering an extremely pleasant experience!"

"A small golf vacation for a few guys to celebrate a son's/nephew’s 16th birthday turned into a full-blown vacation for 4 families with 17 people (8 adults, 9 kids between the ages of 5-16). Our biggest issue, where do we stay with all of these people? We needed to find something where the kids would be entertained and the adults could enjoy themselves. This vacation probably would not have happened if we did not find John's house in Cave Creek. The pictures you see do not do this property justice - the house is magnificent. Great open entertaining space, 1st class gourmet kitchen, beautiful dining room w/ mountain views, master suite you have to see to believe! Accommodations were perfect for our group and every aspect of the house was enjoyed – you truly did not have to leave (and we only did once!) Amenities were all first class – outdoor pool area w/ swim up bar/grill; mini-golf (which the kids loved and was very fun); trampoline; basketball court; theatre room (w/ full bath that opened to the outside - key for the long days at the pool) and game room were all utilized to their max. Indoor/outdoor entertainment system completed the great entertainment package. John and his family tried to think of everything in this house and it is definitely an entertainers paradise. For those familiar with the Phoenix area, Cave Creek is in a great spot for a vacation. Far enough north to be out of the hustle of the valley, you definitely feel secluded and away from the craziness of normal life, yet close enough to the necessary vacation amenities - golf, grocery stores and other necessities (like Starbucks) are all very close. We took a day trip to Sedona, and the ride was about an hour and a half, so its convenient to other local attractions too. I am a home owner (as many of us are), so I always expect issues when I rent houses/villas (and I do it often) – key is for the owner to be responsive to these issues, and John definitely was. We did have a few issues and he took immediate ownership and worked hard to fix the situation. In one case, he could not get an AC issue resolved timely, so he catered a Mexican meal for our group on the final night! (Thanks John!) Overall, an absolutely fabulous vacation in a great location at a wonderful house. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a private resort disguised as a house We didn’t even mind the 115 degree heat! Only question for my group is how quickly will we be able to return??"

  • Sonoran slumber

"My husband and I visit the area several times a year and usually stay in a hotel. We really wanted a different experience so we decided on a private vacation rental. What a great experience we had. The house is Southwestern decorated with an inviting pool for those hot summer days. The Sonoran desert views are spectacular and if you love wildlife this is the place to be; coyotes, Javelina, quail, rabbits and lots of deer! The area is peaceful and quiet but if you want more the drive is 5 minutes into the towns of Cavecreek & Carefree and 30 minutes to Lake Bartlett or downtown Scottsdale. Definitely would stay here again."

  • Fabulous

"I highly recommend this condo!! It is very roomy and nicely furnished. The kitchen is all granite with stainless appliances and plenty of beautiful cabinets. The master bathroom is just fabulous! Honestly, the pictures don't do this place justice. The location is the best part...being able to walk out the condo and up the street a short distance to hike Black Mountain or check out the beautiful houses and scenery on a morning stroll was spectacular!! A few years ago we stayed in Carefree but Definately preferred this location and would stay here again."
