"A lovely setting at the Rancho Manana resort. Comfortable beds and clean facility. We liked the flexibility offered in having the rooms made up as a King or two twins. Our employees were quite pleased. Easy to recommend this place to others."

  • Great Accommodation & Location

"This is a lovely example of rural accommodation and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-month stay in the rental. It is very spacious, with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and two sitting areas. It is very well equipped and everything is in good repair. It is finished in a south western style decor, which was in keeping with the area and home. The rear yard had sun for almost all of the day but there is ample shade on the patio and even two pull-down shades. The whole property was fenced, which was ideal for us with a dog and had many trees/bushes along the perimeter which made for a good level of privacy. The front yard has three fruit tress (orange, grapefruit & lemon) which the owners were happy for us to use and the fruit was delicious!! Although the rental is rurally located, it is also very close to a variety of amenities - there are two supermarkets and a YMCA with a gym & swimming pool within 5 minutes and a library within 10 minutes. Cave Creek & Carefree, two quaint outlying villages, are also within 10 minutes and there are numerous desert trails for hiking/biking/running close by. The owners, who live locally, are very friendly and responded extremely quickly to a couple of small repairs that were required during our stay. We are returning for next winter!!!!"

  • Fabulous

"I highly recommend this condo!! It is very roomy and nicely furnished. The kitchen is all granite with stainless appliances and plenty of beautiful cabinets. The master bathroom is just fabulous! Honestly, the pictures don't do this place justice. The location is the best part...being able to walk out the condo and up the street a short distance to hike Black Mountain or check out the beautiful houses and scenery on a morning stroll was spectacular!! A few years ago we stayed in Carefree but Definately preferred this location and would stay here again."

"A small golf vacation for a few guys to celebrate a son's/nephew’s 16th birthday turned into a full-blown vacation for 4 families with 17 people (8 adults, 9 kids between the ages of 5-16). Our biggest issue, where do we stay with all of these people? We needed to find something where the kids would be entertained and the adults could enjoy themselves. This vacation probably would not have happened if we did not find John's house in Cave Creek. The pictures you see do not do this property justice - the house is magnificent. Great open entertaining space, 1st class gourmet kitchen, beautiful dining room w/ mountain views, master suite you have to see to believe! Accommodations were perfect for our group and every aspect of the house was enjoyed – you truly did not have to leave (and we only did once!) Amenities were all first class – outdoor pool area w/ swim up bar/grill; mini-golf (which the kids loved and was very fun); trampoline; basketball court; theatre room (w/ full bath that opened to the outside - key for the long days at the pool) and game room were all utilized to their max. Indoor/outdoor entertainment system completed the great entertainment package. John and his family tried to think of everything in this house and it is definitely an entertainers paradise. For those familiar with the Phoenix area, Cave Creek is in a great spot for a vacation. Far enough north to be out of the hustle of the valley, you definitely feel secluded and away from the craziness of normal life, yet close enough to the necessary vacation amenities - golf, grocery stores and other necessities (like Starbucks) are all very close. We took a day trip to Sedona, and the ride was about an hour and a half, so its convenient to other local attractions too. I am a home owner (as many of us are), so I always expect issues when I rent houses/villas (and I do it often) – key is for the owner to be responsive to these issues, and John definitely was. We did have a few issues and he took immediate ownership and worked hard to fix the situation. In one case, he could not get an AC issue resolved timely, so he catered a Mexican meal for our group on the final night! (Thanks John!) Overall, an absolutely fabulous vacation in a great location at a wonderful house. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a private resort disguised as a house We didn’t even mind the 115 degree heat! Only question for my group is how quickly will we be able to return??"
