  • Perfect

"A group of my friends and i just returned from our stay in Tucson. We rented this property and it was lovely. The wiled life is fun to watch, the home is secluded so if you want to have peace and quiet this is the place. The owner is wonderful to work with. We enjoyed the stay very much. Highly recommend."

  • Beautiful, peaceful desert house.

"The house is in a magical, secluded mesquite bosque. We went in March and the grass of the bosque was lush, emerald green. I didn't know Tucson could look like this! The house is really spacious. 4 bathrooms let's everyone have their own space. There is a huge covered patio on the north side of the house so I think it would provide great outdoor living even in hot temps. The pool and hot tub were not heated, so weren't usable in the 70 degree March days."

  • Lovely Casita, Very Comfortable!

"I so much enjoyed staying at the casita; it is so charming! Although it seemed far from things at first, I quickly found it is just a short drive to most everything needed. I loved having the paved pathway at nearby McDonald park to walk for rehab from surgery. The area itself is perfect for walking, peace, quiet, and relaxation or for hiking, biking! I stayed here for an entire month and could not have found a more perfect place! The owners are helpful but unobtrusive, responded promptly to minor issues (battery for the fire alarm). Nice comfortable beds with sumptuous bedding! Washer and dryer in the unit, single car garage, private patio, hot tub. Bountiful wildlife in the area that can be viewed from within the casita. All made my stay very pleasant! I also want to mention how nice it was to come into a short term rental that is so carefully presented. I've stayed in more than one VRBO rental where opened food items were left in the refrigerator and cupboards: Expired salad dressings and pancake mixes, opened boxes of pasta, carry out bowls in the cupboard with the dishes. In comparison, this casita is well equipped and also refreshingly clean and classy."

  • Ecletic, Large Ranch on the Outskirts of Tucson

"We were a party of 6 adults and 1 infant. We chose to stay at this property because it was cheaper than booking individual hotel rooms, and we could all stay together. Plus, it looked beautiful! The beauty of the setting was amazing. There were great views of the mountains out of the kitchen, and a wonderful outdoor deck. Unfortunately, it was unseasonably chilly when we visited, so we were unable to throw open all of the doors and windows and soak in the desert heat on the back deck. But, it looks like a fantastic house to do so. The house is extensive, with a long hallway, 4 bedrooms, and plenty of skylights. Features we liked about the house: --the wooden beams in the ceilings --the pretty tilework in the kitchen --the lighting --4 bedrooms and 2 baths. --the large shower in the master bathroom --the ability to eat as a family at the dining room table --the large sectional couch --the abundance of nature (saw coyotes, a roadrunner, lots of birds, bunnies, etc) --the large saguaros on the property --the porches and courtyard Features that we wished we had known before booking the property: --the bedrooms and master bath are connected with doorways without doors. It made using the master bath awkward when someone was in the adjoining bedroom. --the owner stayed on property with us, living adjacent to the house in a connected guesthouse. He was very private about it, but it was still a little weird sharing our rental home with someone. --we wished we hadn't been admonished with signs and verbal instructions to not adjust the heat over 60 degrees. With our infant, we felt guilty turning it up, and indeed, when the owner came in to make a repair, he turned the heat off completely because we had a door open with the heat running. It seemed as if we couldn't relax at the house and do what we wanted. The house is about a 15-20 minute drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. There is one sandy lane nearby that is good for walking on. The property is, I believe, several acres, but all we could find was one small path to walk on and enjoy the desert scenery. Maybe we missed the rest. Overall, it was a great find for the price, and definitely gave us the experience of staying as a local, at a large sprawling adobe ranch, complete with cacti and locally-crafted features. I'm not sure if we would stay there again, as we ended up going to town a lot to hike, eat, shop, etc. But we were satisfied with our trip and the owner was very friendly and helpful."
