  • Great time, plus great service

"Great experience, only one short fall was having to drive the car's to the overflow parking. Other than that great service and experience."

  • Great Space and Close to Lake!

"We had a great time here for Labor Day weekend! We had 3 couples and 2 friends for a total of 8 people. We also brought our dog (for an extra fee). The house had enough room for all of us, with 2 bedrooms on the ground level and an open room on the 2nd level with 4 twin beds. There was more than enough space. We loved the wrap around 2nd level deck with lake view! The house was well stocked and even had a fenced in yard for our dog. The community was secure and safe, and the management company was quick to answer all of my calls and questions. We would love to stay here again in the future!"

  • This House is Absolutely PERFECT!

"We rented this house from the Birkler's and loved every minute being there! We were a family of 13...7 adults and 6 children. This house was so accommodating for such a large group. Everyone had a bedroom for themselves. The kids were in a room with bunkbeds and a TV/DVD player and great movies to watch. There was also a great playroom with pool, foosball, and an Arcade video...the kids thought they had died and gone to heaven! When you can keep 6 children entertained for 7 days, it is Heaven! hee, hee! As the "old folks" of the group, we chose to sleep in the "Granny Suite" which is located separate from the main house. Wonderful , wonderful! The room has a very nice, comfortable bed with two comfy chairs and a TV. It also has a kitchenette with refer, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was perfect. The view from the porch, which runs the length of the house, is beautiful. No matter what time of day, you could sit for a long time to view the lake and all the beauty surrounding it and never tire of it. I should mention that we have rented houses in Oak Shores before this one and none compare to this. Let's just say, if I could, I would buy this place! It's that perfect!"

  • Perfect for group fun

"There were 7 of us, 3 couples and 1 single, so we all had a bedroom/bath suite to ourselves, with 1 bedroom left over. 3 of the group were visiting from Italy so we enjoyed exploring the area of vineyards and olive groves, taking in a great tour of Halter Ranch underground cellars. The area is like a young version of what they are used to in Italy, and it was fun to talk about the comparisons. We all love to cook so the large kitchen, fully stocked with cookware and serving dishes, with 2 sinks and plenty of countertop space was perfect for 3-5 people working at one time. We set big platters of food on the large peninsula between the kitchen and dining room and feasted every night. The local community is a nice place to walk in the morning or evening light, with hills to get your blood pumping, views of the lake, and deer and wild turkey grazing on the properties. When we arrived on Christmas Eve, we found the home decorated beautifully and we immediately made ourselves at home with a fire, the Christmas lights and a long-awaited reunion! The interior design of this home is professionally done and the home is stocked with everything you need but your clothing and groceries. There are 2 outdoor living/eating spaces and a ping pong table which we used. This is a beautiful place to stay with a group, especially if you enjoy wine tasting, craft beer, olive oil tasting, or boutique shopping in Paso Robles. In our case we did not experience the restaurants, but heard some rave reviews from the locals. Next time!"
