  • This House is Absolutely PERFECT!

"We rented this house from the Birkler's and loved every minute being there! We were a family of 13...7 adults and 6 children. This house was so accommodating for such a large group. Everyone had a bedroom for themselves. The kids were in a room with bunkbeds and a TV/DVD player and great movies to watch. There was also a great playroom with pool, foosball, and an Arcade video...the kids thought they had died and gone to heaven! When you can keep 6 children entertained for 7 days, it is Heaven! hee, hee! As the "old folks" of the group, we chose to sleep in the "Granny Suite" which is located separate from the main house. Wonderful , wonderful! The room has a very nice, comfortable bed with two comfy chairs and a TV. It also has a kitchenette with refer, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was perfect. The view from the porch, which runs the length of the house, is beautiful. No matter what time of day, you could sit for a long time to view the lake and all the beauty surrounding it and never tire of it. I should mention that we have rented houses in Oak Shores before this one and none compare to this. Let's just say, if I could, I would buy this place! It's that perfect!"

  • wonderful kitchen area for friends to gather

"We stayed in this beautiful home for a childhood friends reunion. There were nine of us. I did the booking for our group and chose this property for the open kitchen, dining and living areas. Our group never used the living room. We gathered in the kitchen and large dining table just as I knew we would. This house advertises the view but I wouldn't rent it if a water view is what you're after. You CAN see Lake Naciemento from the great porches (which have great outdoor furniture and are open and very nice) but you overlook the water treatment pond and maintenance area (dumpster and landscaping compost) in the foreground before you see the lake. Didn't matter to us, we were there in the fall and weren't using the lake as a recreational focal point. I'm sure during the summer this is a wonderful place to stay for those seeking water activities. The property is about 45 minutes from Paso Robles on a long and winding road, so keep this in mind if you plan to go into Paso often during your stay. We didn't mind it but if I were to do it again, I wouldn't plan activities in town as much as we did. The road trips were fun though and we are from a small town and used to driving long distances just to get to decent grocery shopping and dining. Wasn't a negative factor for us. the house is very clean and well-kept. It's the first VRBO I've rented from that requires you to bring your own linens and I didn't know this until after booking. I totally understand the reason the owner does this and it wasn't a big deal in the long run because we all brought linens to use. I'd rent it again in summer months and stay longer. It is such a beautifully decorated and appointed home. We had a blast and loved the house."

  • Dream Home at Lake Nacimiento

"Thank you Steve and Cindy for sharing your gorgeous lake home through VRBO. Our family Thanksgiving weekend could not have been any better. I knew your house would be fabulous, but as each couple arrived, their mouths dropped open at how truly amazing it really was! Every detail from the great amenities, the calm, serene atmosphere, the views and the beautiful interiors were perfection. It is a couples dream get away. This is a wonderful property and I highly recommend it!"

  • Beautifully appointed, incredible place to spend some lake time!

"Repairs to our Oak Shores property led us to rent Glenn and Sharon's beautiful home. Now we are spoiled and our house will never live up, but we really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, well equipped in all areas and our group had a tremendous time. We enjoyed the views, the walks, the upper deck, the amazing kitchen, hanging on the dock watching the lake happenings while the kids wakeboarded etc. It is definitely one of, if not the, nicest place I've found on VRBO. Glenn/Sharon were incredibly helpful with pre arrival info. Really was a terrific weekend. Thanks for sharing your incredible home with us."
