  • Little piece of beautiful paradise

"This place was a breath of fresh air, tucked away down a windy paved road along ranches, orchards, vineyards, and family homes. The house had everything needed, lots of teas (I'm a tea person, cannot comment on coffee) with a private hot tub, and covered deck for lounging and enjoying a view of the Canadian geese on the pond. The deck had a nice breeze and lounge chairs to enjoy the quiet nature. We enjoyed swimming around and lounging by the pool some days, paddling around the pond and feeding the fish other days. The house also has a nice grill on the deck. Sandra graciously also offered fresh vegetables and fruit from her garden and orchard to us, a nice addition. I appreciated that she composts and recycles. All was clean and as advertised. We had the hot tub turn off on us, we texted Sandra and she came down to reset the hot tub. This place is great for coming and staying put to enjoy the scenery and relax. There isn't much as far as attractions or things to do within walking distance. It's about 20-30 minute drive to downtown Placerville, as I commuted to a work assignment each day there, and it was nice to relax after work. It was a great time and I look forward to coming by again the future, I'd certainly stay here again should my travels bring me this way again."

  • Perfect Getaway

"We stayed at this beautiful home with 4 adults and 2 children. The property is beautiful and secluded-just what we were looking for. The owner is extremely generous and went out of his way to accommodate for our needs. I've stayed at a handful of rental homes for vacation and I've enjoyed them all, but I must say that this is the first rental we've stayed at where I didn't feel the need to clean the kitchen and bathrooms before we could really relax. The game room, hot tub and sauna gave us plenty to do while at the house and the effort to get the wood burning hot tub going is well worth it! It's not difficult; it just takes some time before the water gets to the desired temperature and gives a much more refreshing feeling vs typical hot tubs. We were lucky enough to be there during a big snow storm so we spent the majority of our time outside in the snow. We're already trying to plan the next time we can stay at this amazing home!"

  • A great snow retreat!

"Nice kitchen, spacious, and with a great fireplace. The master bedroom is beautiful and there is plenty of room for kids. There are a few unfinished areas, but I expect those should be done soon. Even if there isn't snow right outside, the place is only twenty minutes from a snow play area. We had a great time."

  • Counting Livestock is relaxing

"Paulettes' charming house overlooking the rolling hills all the way to the far way mountains is indeed a treat to stay in. My wife and I found ourselves counting the sheep, horses, burros, and alpacas which graze continuously on the neighboring properties. Our counts varied as they came in and out of view all day. For a relaxing enjoyable stay go no further."
