  • Perfectly Relaxing

"This property was absolutely perfect. We were promised comfort and relaxation and that is exactly what we received. The setting was beautiful! We took advantage of the bbq and hot tub on the back deck and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. The binder with suggestions of things to do while visiting the area was a nice touch and very helpful! We only regret not staying longer. Will definitely be back."

  • Beautiful secluded retreat with all the amenities you could ever want! Highly recommended!

"This is a beautiful home and was the perfect place for our family of 4 adults to spend a week. It is very spacious and airy but still feels cozy and comfy. Our family is spread out in Chicago, Austin and San Francisco so we met in San Fran and drove over (3.5-4hrs) to spend a week at Yosemite National Park. We wanted a place that allowed us to relax and enjoy some family time but was close enough to Yosemite that we could spend our days hiking and exploring the park. (The park was unbelievably stunning, but that's another review!) All the descriptions and photos posted for this home were accurate: There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sofa bed in the living room and a kitchen fully stocked with ALL the dishes, cooking utensils, pots & pans etc. you could ever want or need. We were concerned about having to use a sofa bed but our kids reported that it was really comfortable! No bars or sagging thin mattress - it was a nice solid foam mattress on a flat platform. There was a full bedding set up for use with the sofa bed as well. There is a hot tub outside which we used once. We were so exhausted after our days in the park that we usually came home and dived into bed immediately, but it was fun on our last night to relax under the harvest moon in the warmth of a nice soak. We didn't use the wood burning stove as it was 90+ during our stay and we needed the AC - not heat! The solitude and quiet were amazing and wild turkeys, humming birds and deer visited the property. We liked the fact that the town of Mariposa was only about 10 minutes away. We ate at some great restaurants there (we highly recommend Charles Street Dinner House and Savoury's), and found that the Pioneer Market grocery store had everything we needed at very reasonable prices. The home is an hour drive from the park entrance (Another 20+minutes to Yosemite Village from there) but the road is beautiful and since it was later in the season the traffic going to/from the park wasn't a problem. If it was peak season I would anticipate the drive could be slower as it is very mountainous and there are rarely areas to pass. So my advice is to sit back and enjoy the journey - just allow enough time to get to the park if you have reservations for anything inside the park. If you want a getaway retreat fairly close to Yosemite this is an excellent option!"

  • Charming, Comfortable and Convenient

"From the moment we walked through the door of Vineyard View, we knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted by soothing jazz, cool air, and a view that stopped us in our tracks. Once recovered, we explored this charming home finding a spacious and comfortable flow of rooms attractively decorated. Kirsty and Jerry decorated tastefully and thoughtfully. Our beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were quaint and attractive, including a beautiful claw foot tub. The living room invited guests to sit and chat or read the large collection of books on Yosemite and the region. The kitchen was well equipped and each time we said ‘I’m sure she doesn’t have a …’, we found one. Then there’s the yard! We ate in the pleasant garden and under the trellis. We did morning yoga overlooking the vineyard, amongst beautiful rocks. We spent almost every night stargazing in the spa. During our week-long stay we visited Yosemite National Park four times. The ride from Vineyard View to the Park is gorgeous and allowed us to discover other interesting parts of the region. With Kirsty and Jerry’s suggestions (listed in a well-prepared binder in the home) we planned our travel well. Choosing Vineyard View made this trip affordable given the prices for lodging in the Park, that didn’t include these fabulous accommodations. We are grateful for finding Vineyard View and hope to return in the future."

  • Cozy & warm cabin in Mariposa

"My husband and I came to this cottage over the Valentine's weekend. As we entered, we felt like we were at home. It is simply and thoughtfully decorated with sufficient heaters in each room. Very comfortable, clean and near the town. Had everything needed to make meals. I accidentally left my electronic device behind and they were kind enough to mail it back to me. Doe & Chris, thank you so much for sharing your lovely Mariposa home with us."
