  • A wonderful place to stay, the cabin has everything needed for a welcoming stay.

"We loved staying in the cabin, everything has been well prepared to ensure a nice stay. We really liked the way all instructions are well unscripted on very equipment for a good use. We are surprised by everything we found in the cabin, some in the finest details. You won't regret your stay. As for us we are already planing our next stay in this lovely place."

  • Beautiful secluded retreat with all the amenities you could ever want! Highly recommended!

"This is a beautiful home and was the perfect place for our family of 4 adults to spend a week. It is very spacious and airy but still feels cozy and comfy. Our family is spread out in Chicago, Austin and San Francisco so we met in San Fran and drove over (3.5-4hrs) to spend a week at Yosemite National Park. We wanted a place that allowed us to relax and enjoy some family time but was close enough to Yosemite that we could spend our days hiking and exploring the park. (The park was unbelievably stunning, but that's another review!) All the descriptions and photos posted for this home were accurate: There are two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sofa bed in the living room and a kitchen fully stocked with ALL the dishes, cooking utensils, pots & pans etc. you could ever want or need. We were concerned about having to use a sofa bed but our kids reported that it was really comfortable! No bars or sagging thin mattress - it was a nice solid foam mattress on a flat platform. There was a full bedding set up for use with the sofa bed as well. There is a hot tub outside which we used once. We were so exhausted after our days in the park that we usually came home and dived into bed immediately, but it was fun on our last night to relax under the harvest moon in the warmth of a nice soak. We didn't use the wood burning stove as it was 90+ during our stay and we needed the AC - not heat! The solitude and quiet were amazing and wild turkeys, humming birds and deer visited the property. We liked the fact that the town of Mariposa was only about 10 minutes away. We ate at some great restaurants there (we highly recommend Charles Street Dinner House and Savoury's), and found that the Pioneer Market grocery store had everything we needed at very reasonable prices. The home is an hour drive from the park entrance (Another 20+minutes to Yosemite Village from there) but the road is beautiful and since it was later in the season the traffic going to/from the park wasn't a problem. If it was peak season I would anticipate the drive could be slower as it is very mountainous and there are rarely areas to pass. So my advice is to sit back and enjoy the journey - just allow enough time to get to the park if you have reservations for anything inside the park. If you want a getaway retreat fairly close to Yosemite this is an excellent option!"

  • Great trip

"This was a nice place to stay! The house had everything we needed and the owner was nice and responsive. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved it ! Couple warnings about the area (no reflection on the house which was great) The town has very little to see- short of the mineral museum. The gift shops are the usual hokey stuff for the most part. There is a great bakery and great ice cream place. The restaurants in town pretty much stink and are ridiculous in price. There is a new Greek place that is good and there is a place called savourys that everyone loves. We didn't go there because the prices were high. We did go the "Charles street dinner house" and it was overpriced and they were rude. Don't go there even tho everyone recommends it. Yuck. I would go to the supermarket which is actually a great market and cook. He house has everything you need to make your own food so do it. It's a great house. The park is far, and the ride is beautiful but be prepared for a windy road. Overall it's a grew place ! Just stay home and go to the park - skip the town!!"

  • Amazing house to rent

"This is a very nice and quiet house with all what you need and more (a hot tube on the terrace!), in the countryside (lovely view from the terrace, deer on the little road to get to the house...). But you're close to the city Mariposa where you can find for example a big supermarket and other shops, especially one which proposes very tasty ice creams, loved by our three children, and beers loved by my husband (for me : vegetables and fruits!). The way to Yosemite Valley is nice too, when you arrive next to this beautiful river Merced. A lot of people in this park, but it is really gorgeous, as what we saw in other american parks; western America is absolutely beautiful. We are so sad to hear about those fires which devastate this area. Thanks, Heather and Steve, for renting your house! A family of five (two adults and three adolescents, who liked also quick wifi there!)"
