  • Cozy place, great location

"We just spent the weekend here (three families with young kids) and everyone had a blast. The deck was kid-friendly which was great since we had toddlers and they spent a lot of time watching the boats pass. The place has access to Pope beach in walking distance, but note that you will need a key-card for Tahoe keys to open the gate. You will get a paper pass with your confirmation that you can use to get a key-card from the Tahoe Keys club. Also we had to contact the owner during our stay and he was very quick to respond."

  • Great Place to Stay in South Lake Tahoe

"We had three adjoining rooms: a Master with a fireplace and a jacuzzi; a 2 queen room with a bathroom that featured heating lamps; A living room with a fireplace and a pullout sofa, a full sized kitchen and a bath. It was described as a smaller version of the suites (1200+sf). It was perfect for a group of 7. It was like a cruise ship with all the activities available right outside our door. The unit was located a 1/2 level above the skating rink, the swimming pool and plaza. We allowed the kids to go the the pool as well as the rink and still were able to keep an eye on them from our windows. We were able to call out to them from our rooms. It felt comfortable. The location was across the street from a shopping center for quick items and groceries. Stateline is approximately three long blocks which is an easy walk. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Next time we will try look over the activity list of all that was available to do cause there are so many things to do. The pullout in the common area was surprisingly comfortable because it was a Tempurpedic type bed."

  • Great Location - Could be better maintained

"We had a great week in Lake Tahoe. It was just my husband and myself and we were looking for a simple place to unwind. What sold us was the backyard opening onto the meadow- which is beautiful. This is a great cabin and just what we wanted, and I would definitely come again, if I knew that some of these issues below would be corrected. It wouldn't take much money or effort. Overall, everything was clean but there was a sense of neglect in the cabin and the yard. There were numerous and rather comical notes (more like warnings) taped throughout the house, explaining things that were broken or didn't work. The windows were very dirty, with handprints and drips running down the sliding door to the back. The back yard furniture was strewn about as if a cyclone had passed through. There was a broken picnic table leaning upside down against the fence. Inside, the large dining table was broken and the living room furniture was not arranged in a way that is comfortable or useable. It made us feel that no one really cared about our comfort. We cooked every meal in the cabin and felt that the kitchen could use an overhaul! I don't mind old appliances and no dishwasher - they work and I expected that. However, there was not a decent frying pan ( all burnt and scratched) and although every cabinet was stuffed with old dishes and small appliances, we had a hard time finding decent wine glasses or sharp knife. Bathroom is very nice but if there were more than two of us staying here, it would be a stretch. Bathroom towels could be improved upon as they were pilly. One last thing. It would be nice if there were a supply of basic staples. I have stayed in many rental homes and generally over time, prior visitors leave condiments, etc. The supplies consisted of 2 rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, about 1/4 cup of laundry soap and salt & pepper. When we arrived, the refrigerator was off and empty."
