  • Such a relaxing Memorial Weekend!

"Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend! My 1 year old daughter, wife and dog stayed here for 3 nights over this recent Memorial weekend. Everything people have written about the parking is true. The 27 North is a busy road but their driveway had plenty of space for us to park. There are 3 small flights of stairs so pack as light as possible. Here's my review on the rental: Inside - You're not renting this place for the inside of the unit. It's built for renters meaning the furnishings are kept well but older, small TV, etc. Kitchen is small but functional. Fridge kept a surprising amount of food. Freezer holds ONLY ice.. don't bring ice cream. Bring your own coffee! Bedroom and bathroom were fine. Again, you're not renting this place for the interior. Exterior - AMAZING! They've had some recent upgrades to the outdoors which added so much for us having a one year old. The jacuzzi was great (maybe a little over chlorinated the first day (we got a little itchy) but the second and third nights were perfect). Backyard was great for our dog and they had lots of furniture to set up shop with a book on. The back of the yard had a path that led to a brand new gazebo that had great furniture and an outdoor flatscreen with Smarthub features (Netflix) on it. We found ourselves out there with wine most nights while our kid slept watching Netflix. 15 minutes to a place you can let your dog off leash (go to Tuna Canyon Park) 15 minutes to Whole Foods 10-15 minutes to the beach Thanks again!"

  • The Perfect Hidden Home

"My wife and I needed a place to stay in LA that was near the convention center but wasn't absurdly expensive. After recovering from the shock of hotel prices in the area, even with pre-negotiated discounts, we decided to fall back on what we love best: staying in small rented homes wherever we travel. The house itself is simple, four outer walls and a roof that enclose everything a couple might need to stay a week or two in a busy metropolitan community. Interior furniture and adornments are primarily Ikea, functional and affordable with a hint of modern minimalism that coincides with the home's purpose. The bed my wife and I both found comfortable, the internet fast, and kitchen functional for small meal preps and leftover rewarmings; a small pergola outside provides relaxing cover to enjoy a drink or meal with reasonable privacy. The interiors were clean and linens, bath soaps, and kitchen accessories were all provided to satisfaction. During our stay, our hosts were responsive and available for anything that we might have needed. The location is central to the downtown area, close to cultural centers such as old Chinatown and Koreatown, and not far from popular destinations such as Santa Monica Blvd, Echo Park, and the Hollywood area. For those that enjoy dining out and are looking to avoid the usual boring chains and sanitized dining experiences, this is your place. I recommend Dream Korean BBQ and the shops near and around the H-Mart in Koreatown for a true cultural immersion. Worry not, if comfort and familiarity are what you seek, many other popular dining options are within a short drive as well. The big question: would we stay here again? Absolutely. The location is an ideal access point to many sights and features that one would seek in LA. The accommodations are perfect for a couple seeking to avoid the sterilized hotel experience and truly immerse themselves in their time away from home."

  • Gorgeous home & gracious hosts!

"This home was stunning! It has a bohemian chic vibe and was curated beautifully. We loved the kilim rugs in every room, the high ceilings and beautiful dream catchers sprinkled throughout the home. We wish we had more time! Azita was a gracious and accommodating host and very easy to work with. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal. They have two large refrigerators in the kitchen and have one completely cleaned out for guests to use. There were Sonos speakers in every room for playing music, which was great. There were a lot of mosquitoes (it is in the canyon and quite warm that day) so we just used bug spray and it was no big deal. The home was a quick drive to Topanga Canyon state park and to the Inn of the Seventh Ray restaurant, which was just gorgeous. I would recommend staying here and would love to return again and spend more time!"
