  • Like a bottle of very good whine

"A very pleasant house in a very special surrounding. Perfect, if you want to visit LA areas or Malibu, but benefit from calm and cool nights away from the crowd. Very friendly and easy handling by the owners. Narrow mountain street connects the property as well as the few neighbouring houses on the hill to the village down in the canyon. Easy to find. A broad area of level ground around the house, terrace-like, gives comfortable room for a hammock, arrangement of table and chairs, even for parking wherever you like. The house itself, inside, is generous with light, be it natural sunlight or artificial. Very tastefull choice of the interior design, practical and comfortable at the same time. You may end up staying there instead of leaving for another trip to the city. Two minor remarks only. One concerning the last 120 feet (maybe) of unpaved country lane down to the house, where i was happy with the SUV i had rented. The second concerning the fact that no curtains exist to shut the view through the glass doors of the living room and one sleeping room during nights. But you can most probably rely on the fact that no one has ever occured in the garden who was not expected."

  • Quiet, peaceful home with beautiful mountain views, amazing hiking & biking trails out the door.

"My family & I spent a week at Casa De Anton & we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The mountain views are breath taking, the quietness is peaceful, a wonderful place to sit back & relax. We all thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool, it was amazing to be able to swim or sit in the hot tub & look out at hawks & listen to owls & Coyotes, what a special place. The house itself was very clean & comfortable & well appointed with the owners art & beautiful taste, which adds to the calmness & beauty of this cozy home. Thank you Luna, Slater, Sue, Bob, Rhonda & Peter for the wonderful hospitality, we are already looking forward to our return and cherish the new friendships we have made."

"We had such an amazing time there! Only wish we could have spent more time in the rental - next time we'll plan on a lazy day cooking and enjoying the experience. Thanks!!!"

  • Quaint Property, Great Location

"This guest house is located on a narrow but paved, tree-lined road in Topanga Canyon. The unit was bigger than it looked online, with a good sized living/dining room, small kitchen, 3/4 bath and separate bedroom. The other residents including their dog, "Topanga" are very friendly as well. Topanga Village and Malibu are just minutes away. During our short visit, we lunched at the Malibu Farm Pier Cave on the water, had dinner at "The Sunset" on Zuma Beach, and a great creekside brunch at the Inn of the 7th Ray in Old Topanga. There are also a number of great hikes in the area, we enjoyed the Temescal Canyon Trail which offered beautiful scenery and alot of shade along the way. We had a nice getaway weekend and this served as a great launch point!"
